Summary
It was all very strange at first, being propositioned by a dignified professor of a prestigious academy. Past the initial weirdness of it, though, it was actually a pretty decent arrangement.
Up until it began to dawn on Therion that perhaps the odd jumble of emotions he had toward Cyrus couldn’t be blamed on how unique the scholar is compared to all the other people he’s known throughout his life. That was when he realized those feelings were something more, still are something more, and his sanity overall more or less went downhill from there. It was a gradual thing, eating away at him with an ominous slowness that’s far worse than if whatever impending breakdown he’ll eventually have about it had just hit right away.
So he’s kept quiet to let it fester, hoping desperately that he can keep from ever accidentally blurting out a confession after a few too many drinks.

It was maddening – Vash simply did not value his own life in the equation and Knives was constantly forced to dance around it. He let humans tear his body to shreds while singing their praises, and hurtled happily toward to his own death if it meant blocking Knives from achieving meaningful progress.
The most ridiculous part was that he was contradictorily so concerned with the lives of everyone else around him. They were granted protection and care, they were above exposing to careless risk, but never Vash.
If he could just make him confront the hypocrisy of it... treat his own life as if it carried the same significance...
And it was then that the answer to Knives' problem hit him. Something so simple he was surprised it had never occurred to him before.
Perhaps he could never change his attitude to himself but there was, in theory, a way for Vash to carry a life he might value differently, one he would avoid exposing to danger.
He just needed to be pregnant.

Nai is perfect.
He’s protective without being overbearing, gentle and considerate towards Vash, is brilliant and answers all of his questions, and tells him about their dead mother. But best of all, regardless of what Vash asks for, Nai never tells him no—so, Vash feels he needs to do the same.Series

So focused on work, Jayce hadn’t even realised how late it had gotten, sighing when he realised that he’d now have to try and pull Viktor away from his own work, which rarely took less than half an hour.
He looked over at Viktor, seeing him still working tirelessly across the room, noticing the weary look on his face.
He was getting tired a lot quicker and lot more frequently recently. Enough for others to take notice, with both Mel and Sky pulling Jayce into a corner to express their concerns.
