And that's fine, okay? It was a delicate situation, he understood that then and he understands it now. He doesn't hold it against Bruce, or Dick, or anyone after him who benefited from the Batman that he fixed. It's just, he hadn't realized how many things he lost out on while fixing Batman.

“Annabeth Chase,” the man repeated, as if it meant something more than just a random name. “Isn’t that why you chose this house?”
“Why, on Earth, would I pick a house based on whether or not this Annabeth Chase was my neighbour?” Percy asked.
“To catch the cat!” the man explained, and Percy sincerely laughed.
“What cat?” Percy asked, now wondering if he had drunk something that tasted bad or a bit out of the ordinary. He must have been sleeping, having those weird dreams some people claim have meanings but, in the end, were just a bunch of thoughts squeezed together in a juice jar.
“The one with the key."
OR,
Percy wants a new beginning back where he came from. He moves to New Rome, a quaint neighbourhood in New York, where every single man seems to make a life out of chasing a yellow cat with a key around its neck. Whoever catches it, apparently, won't be denied the prize they all seek: Annabeth Chase's — the most beautiful woman around — hand in marriage.
Percy doesn't get it, and much less wants to engage with such activities or with the mysterious woman. But it's a bit harder when she lives just next doors, and the yellow cat becomes a faithful companion of his.

“What, am I too heavy for you? Can’t handle my weight, is that it?” Comes the snide quip, to which Yoo Joonghyuk casts his gaze skyward for only the briefest of moments before a hand leaves the keyboard to ruffle his hair rather aggressively.
“Behave,” Yoo Joonghyuk snaps. And then he returns to his game, murmuring a soft apology to his teammates. “My boyfriend came in,” he says simply, the words sending a jolt through Kim Dokja’s body. Even if Yoo Joonghyuk publicised the fact that he not only has a significant other, but that it was a man, six months after they first started dating (it’s been two years since then) Kim Dokja can’t ever get used to it. For privacy reasons, they keep Kim Dokja’s identity a secret, but he’s met some of Yoo Joonghyuk’s friends, and even then he couldn’t quite believe it.
After all, to announce something like that to so many of his fans… isn’t it the same as saying, to the whole world, that he belonged only to Kim Dokja, and that Kim Dokja only belonged to him?

Summary
Three men dead, slashed to pieces with a sword in a glitzy studio apartment by the beach.
Homicide investigator Roronoa Zoro and his partner Tashigi know who did it, but convincing the force to make an arrest is another story entirely.

“I’m not dead, Wil,” the boy said, the words tumbling out of him in a rush. “I’m not dead, don’t fucking listen to them when they say I’m dead because I’m not. You know I’m not!”
“I-I saw your body,” Wilbur stammered, unsure of how the dead boy knew his name.
“It’s not me! I don’t know what the fuck that thing was, but I’m not dead! You can feel it, can’t you?” The boy pleaded, his voice cracking as he started crawling on the sand towards Wilbur. “You have to save me, Wil. Please, you need to get me out of here!”

The fae was tall. Much taller than Tommy, and probably anyone else in the village for that matter. Hair the color of dark oak spilled over his forehead in tumbling curls. Flecks of gold dotted his cheeks like freckles, sitting underneath a pair of knowing eyes that seemed to flash between shades of earth and honey. His tall frame was draped in the most expensive-looking clothes Tommy had ever seen—flowing fabric in shades of snow and sunlight billowed in the light breeze. And there was so much jewelry. Gold bands decorated his arms, dangling gems decorated his pointed ears, and a shimmering gold circlet rested on his forehead.
Past the beauty though, there was danger. His nails were pointed, his teeth too sharp. When Tommy tried to look him in the eyes, his head grew fuzzy, as if perceiving the fae directly wasn’t something he was supposed to attempt.
He was smiling as he looked over Tommy.
“Are you lost?” He asked in that same lyrical voice.
