This is a story about healing. About grief, about breaking, and about the fight to love someone through the darkest parts of themselves. It is a story about going to the edge of the world and back. It is a story about love, and about Zachary, Dorian, and all the friends around them who help them reach the other side.
It is a story, too, about The Owl King, about hope, and about lotus flowers.

Sometimes Zachary has nightmares. Sometimes Dorian has them. Sometimes they both do. And they work it out together.
This fic is not a story so much as a collection of scenes. They can be read in any order and I might add to it from time to time. Technically set in the post-Fateheart world, but you can still read it anyway.

Summary
Stories belonging to the canonical universe of 'Fateheart: A Starless Seaquel', my fan-sequel to Erin Morgenstern's 'The Starless Sea'. You can read Fateheart on Ao3. You can also enjoy any of these stories without having read it, but the world-building and characterisation might not make much sense - for some more than others.
Since writing Fateheart I've not been able to stop myself churning out these snippets and short stories, and frankly if I put them all up I'm going to single-handedly double the amount of Starless Sea fanfiction on the internet, so why not.

Summary
The Firebug Books are a set of original stories set in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, an indeterminate but significant amount of time after the Harry Potter Books. Chiân Maeroris is an original character, who receives her Hogwarts letter on her eleventh birthday, and these books tell her story over her time at the school. This work is a tribute to the world and magic of Harry Potter. It builds upon the universe created by J. K. Rowling but uses only original characters. References to the Harry Potter books appear explicitly but are also implicit in the world-building taken as precedent for the setting of this story.

There are some great quick-and-dirty guides to HTML on A03. This is not one of them - it is a comprehensive guide
It's now 2025, a decade later. A03 supports some new HTML and and we're all walking around reading fic on supercomputers that fit in a jean pocket. It was time update this and take a crack at finishing it. (Links and Images are in, the new Audio and Video tags are not.)
The previous three chapters have been divided into smaller concepts. Each tag continues to have - at a minimum - a link to the w3schools page about it (so you can learn more), a code example, and the result of the code example. Most tags have their attributes, things like [src] or [title], listed and examples of how using the attributes modify the tags.
There's a chapter on Bad Ideas, including how some of the archive's default CSS is available to you to format your work (users can't turn that off by hiding a workskin!)
Oh. And I added a bunny army. You could learn how to add one too.

Zach Rollins is a college athletics scholarship hockey player whose whole life up until now has been sports. He and his girlfriend, Kayleigh Horton, are perfectly content with their life as a typical heterosexual sports couple. But when Zach meets mysterious postgrad student Donnovan, who reads for fun, and tells Donnovan he's never read a novel before, he is exposed to a whole new world, and finds that his passion lies not with sports but with figure skating, video games, reading, and most importantly, men. Meanwhile, Kayleigh meets an equally mysterious pink-haired librarian, Maridel, who makes her question everything. Zach and Kayleigh's perspectives on the world are changing, and through it all Zach and Donnovan keep sharing books- and might even start to share something more.
A college AU in which Zachary and Kat think they're heterosexual and Dorian and Mirabel come along to completely shatter that idea.

Summary
Zachary and Dorian have just found the new Harbour, and are navigating the beginnings of their relationship: learning each other, figuring things out, and most importantly, getting used to being loved. Especially for Dorian, who has never been loved before, not really. So when he can't sleep one night and Zachary offers to read to him to help him relax, he has a bit of a moment. Basically just Dorian experiencing emotions in spite of his best efforts, and a lot of soft hurt/comfort.
