You were too tired to flee even if you wanted to run until you couldn’t anymore. A serial killer was on top of you, donning a blood splattered, mostly white mask so pale it made even the moon envious, he stared down at you with black voids for eyes with black locks adorning his head, framing his mask like a black halo.
He was so close, you could smell the stench of blood rolling off of him alongside musk, your nose twitching at the overwhelming stench that reek from him.
You weren’t unaware of who this was..

Maekar, exhausted, frustrated, only just has enough energy to utter, “a what?”
“A Bear Island Hound,” Daella says patiently, “they were bred on Bear Island as livestock guardians. Aemon says that they’re known to be gentle with livestock and patient with children, and vicious to predators.”
Daeron, remarkably sober for once, just nods and says, “well that explains his size at least. If he was bred to fight off bears.”
Then Daella sighs happily as though awfully pleased with herself, and she proceeds to remain silent as she digs into her breakfast. Maekar sighs tiredly, and glances towards the fireplace in the dining room, where Duncan, The Mutt, is lying quietly as his youngest daughter Rhae brushes him clumsily.
Then he slumps in his chair and wonders how exactly his life had come to this.
