Summary
Mana was two years old when she had witnessed her first death, a row of inmates gunned down as an exposure test. When she turned three, she would learn how to hold those same guns, and by four, she would learn to use them for the same purposes. The facility taught her and her friends that it was their duty, that they would be the next to fight the crimes of the world.
What they didn't count on was Mana remembering how those who failed the test had been eliminated along with the inmates, and that she was more than willing to bring them all down. Now all she needed was to get help from the outside world, hopefully convincing them to spare her friends, and ending the fight before it could begin.
OR Mana, a walking perception filter a la "Where's Waldo?" decides to seek justice, one way or another. And if she meets certain heroes, villains, and everyone in between that are willing to take her in, it was only a small price to pay.
OR Jason Todd becomes a dad without meaning to, but will not back down.

Summary
Sephiroth is a cunning man with the power of a god at his fingertips. He decides that the greatest possible victory can be achieved if he turns back the hands of time and takes Cloud with him to the earliest days of Cloud's childhood. While Cloud is unable to remember his adult memories due to the physical limitations of a baby's brain, Sephiroth shifts the deepest foundation of their bond from hatred to manufactured affection.
Where taken seriously, this has dark and lasting consequences.
Where taken less seriously, Sephiroth goes from bad guy to dad guy.
