Summary
What makes a soul is often debated; at what point does a person become a person? Nearly all babies are born with a name, some very premature babies are born with markings that later become a name. It does not seem to matter if the person who matches the name has been born yet; the name is there.
Ahkmenrah was born with a name he couldn't read, the strange markings written in an entirely unfamiliar language.
Larry Daley was born with hieroglyphs on his lower thigh, but life got in the way of his dreams of travelling to foreign lands.
The chance to work in a museum gave him an opportunity to look for familiar markings, but the chance to connect with your soulmate when he is so far from what you imagined? Surprisingly difficult, he found.
Octavius, upon waking in the museum for the first time, had found the name he had once held was gone, the skin of his forearm now unnervingly bare.
Jedidiah had no memory of a prior life and little more than a vague understanding that the souls of people could be joined. However, the two miniatures found markings forming on their skin that could not be rubbed clean, that hinted to a deeper connection.Bookmarked by BretonAlchemist

Summary
Jedediah and Octavius drunkenly hook up, only for word to spread to Jedediah’s conservative family, who does not think badly of him for his homosexuality, but will for his promiscuity. The only way to amend this, Jedediah decides, is to pretend he and Octavius are together, long enough to assure his parents the sexual escapade was not a transient one. Things quickly become out of hand.

Octavius has fallen in love. But he can't seem to get over the pride that tells him the man he's fallen for is much too far beneath him. Nonetheless, he confesses-and it's safe to say Jedediah won't take kindly to being talked down to.
In other words I took a few of the key chapters of Pride and Prejudice and just re-wrote them (obviously making them a lot shorter and simpler) with Jedediah as Bennet and Octavius as Darcy. Enjoy!

Summary
Octavius had always been a hardened man. His upbringing left little room for debate in many things, from political debates to sexual encounters. But humans change, that's just a fact of life, but that doesn't mean that undergoing these changes meant that it was easy to do. Octavius was a stubborn man, but so was Jedediah, and what happens when two overly obstinate men get together?
A lot of arguing, that's what happens.
Still, they wouldn't really be themselves if they weren't arguing over every little thing, now would they? This is at least what Octavius thinks when, despite his stubbornness and hardened heart, he finds himself falling in love with Jedediah.

Jedediah is in love with Octavius, he will never ever admit this aloud because that would make it true. He wants anything but it to be true.
Fortunately or unfortunately for them, the tablet is in London, England and therefore very far away from them, so, their time is up. As they go off to their positions for what could be the final time they contemplate a little. Would they ever dare to admit their truths?
