Soulmarks rubbed Uzi the wrong way sometimes. Scratch that, not sometimes, pretty much all the time. Why idolize something that took away a major choice for yourself? Especially when that something was a glorified tattoo that a person would probably get while drunk. So yeah, she will not be searching for her soulmate anytime soon. And also cause they're the reason why she has such a dumb soulmark.
N didn't have a soulmark. While his sisters all received there by the time they were 15, his skin remains bare of any mark. But that's okay! He's happy that everyone else has their person waiting for them someday! Besides, why would anyone want him as a soulmate? It's better this way.
And it was, for both of them.
At least until they meet anyway...

This wasn't supposed to happen, she wasn't supposed to have anything to do with him after the breakup. But now she was pregnant with his kid and she had to tell him but...
She really didn't want to. The chapter of her life was over. The life she had with him was over. If she told him he find a way back into hers.
So what if she just didn't and saved them both the trouble.

Corey and Laney have not been friends since Year 9 after a massive argument that led to Laney leaving the band. Along the way she befriended the Newmans and is trying to put her past with Grojband behind. Kinda hard to do though, especially after she decided to take a job working at the Riffin's pawn shop(she needed a job okay? and they were only place wanting to hire her) alongside Corey.
Corey himself is still hurt bye the fallout and can't handle not being in Laney's life as much. It's gotten worse since realized how much he truly cared about her(the dummy finally realized he was in love with her). So in between spending his work time annoying her, he came up with a plan to get her to join the band again...
