The last one he sits on. Born someone else… somewhere else. How would he feel if he wasn’t born into a family of… certain values. Where he was forced to “be a man” before he could even be a boy. He wasn’t allowed to feel his feelings let alone explore them, so how is he supposed to know what he feels now? Is this just missing his best friend or is this… more? He smacks his hand against the steering wheel and looks up, willing the tears to stop, but they don’t. Of course he’s having a crisis on his way to where he thought he was supposed to be.. of course. Tommy stills immediately, though his lips don’t leave Buck’s neck just yet, like he’s too shocked. It takes a moment for Buck’s brain to catch up with what just happened and when it does, it feels like a bucket of ice water has been dumped on him.
His eyes fly open just as Tommy pulls back, staring at Buck with an incredulous expression on his face. Buck simply stares back, his jaw hanging open slightly and his eyes wide. He tries to say something, anything, but words refuse to move past his lips.

After a hectic semester at USC, May decided to return to the 9-1-1 Dispatch as a summer job to get some extra money for her college funds. On her first day back, she gets a call from Eddie Diaz, who had an accident on his way to the airport to catch his flight for El Paso. Fearing that Eddie won't make it out alive, he asks May if he can use the call to record a message, using the moment to confess his love to Chris and Buck, and coming to terms with his sexuality. However, the 118 manages to get Eddie out on time, ensuring that he makes a full recovery. Now that May knows about Eddie's feelings, she helps him to sort it out.
