“Like how the track feels or the tyres or if the suspension starts to feel off?” Lando lists off. “Or we can see what some of the other cars are doing that the cameras don’t pick up. We can help make decisions that you can’t see. Because we feel them. Before your little computer does.”
“If that’s true,” Oscar starts, drawing out the words in that stupid Australian accent of his. “Then why are you always asking Will for help on the radio?”
Lando’s actually speechless for a moment.
Fuck this guy, Lando thinks, glaring at Oscar.

“Lando, right. I’m Oscar. We’ve got everything under control in there now, the rest of the guys are just finishing up a few final checks before the scene is fully cleared. Just wanted to- Shit, sorry, you must be freezing. Here,” the man - Oscar - replied, suddenly pulling off the thick fire retardant jacket he was wearing and draping it around Lando’s shoulders.
Lando’s eyes widened for a moment, nearly choking on air while he inadvertently looked over the man's physique that was now visible, which… Good god. His biceps were cruelly massive, the tight black shirt he was wearing accentuating his broad chest, and Lando felt like he could just about pass out. The warmth of the jacket was nice, too, but the cold had suddenly felt much less pressing.
“Thanks,” he choked out, clearing his throat. “Yeah, uh… Pretty cold out here.”
Oscar laughed quietly, as if Lando couldn’t get any more infatuated, but he quickly moved on. “No problem at all, mate. ‘S what we’re here for. Just, maybe stick to takeaway next time, yeah? As nice as it is to meet you, I’d hate to be showing back up here for another fire.”

Just Oscar’s luck, his sex therapist is outrageously attractive.
“Tell me what you’re here for,” Lando starts once he sits down, crossing his legs and leaning forward, paying full attention to Oscar.
“My friend thinks I have a sex addiction. And that it’s an unhealthy coping mechanism for the stress of racing.”

Summary
Lando swore he could have passed out when he saw Oscar pat his thigh to summon him. That, along with the whistle and the ‘stay’ command earlier, had his heart in his throat and his breaths coming a bit heavily - but he pushed past the overwhelm to do as he’d been told, quickly crossing the room to make his way over to Oscar.
“You good, mate? Look like you’re pretty out of it,” he asked with a quiet laugh, but his expression seemed genuinely a bit concerned.
Lando nodded quickly, shifting his weight between his feet while he forced himself to maintain eye contact.
“Mmhm. Mint. Just- Uh…” He trailed off for a moment, mentally debating what the best excuse would be. 'Just overwhelmingly confused and horny because you’re treating me like a fucking dog right now' wasn’t exactly a safe answer for a busy garage. “Just a bit out of it. Focused on the session.”
A blatant lie, given the only things he could currently focus on were the way Oscar’s eyes were drifting over his face like he was trying to figure him out and how big his arms looked in his fireproofs.

Summary
Oscar walked up quietly towards Lando, his heart beating slightly faster in his chest in anticipation of his reaction. Upon arriving behind him, he slapped his ass once again in greeting - squeezing slightly this time - before pulling his hand away. The mechanics and engineers milling around nearby were so used to their antics at this stage that none of them even bothered sparing a glance.
Lando, as expected, audibly yelped while his head snapped up to stare at Oscar like a deer caught in headlights. He could see the way his chest began rising and falling heavily with his breaths, his hand gripping tightly onto where he was adjusting the fabric on his sleeve. Lando didn’t say anything, just like last time, and things began clicking into place very quickly for Oscar.
“Y’know, if you keep reacting like that, I’m gonna start thinking you’re into this shit,” Oscar teased, but his tone was dangerously close to serious, his voice low.

Turning slowly to appear inconspicuous, Lando watches the back of a tall man walk from the lunchline over to an empty table. The surrounding inmates avert their gazes as he passes by.
He’s got broad shoulders and floppy golden hair. Even from afar, Lando can see he has a dark, raised scar spanning from the outer corner of his eye, down his cheek, and halfway across his chin.
When his eyes flick up, Lando’s stunned to see that Oscar’s already staring back at him with unblinking, almost black eyes.
He’s a goner.

“This is my worst nightmare,” Lando groans, throwing his head back, reading the message out loud. He can’t help it, he may be world traveled, but he is a UK boy at heart. His body can’t handle this type of muggy heat.

The soft touch along his skin is scrambling his brain, unease bubbling up inside of him at the thought that it feels really nice. So, he takes an educated guess. “To help me win a championship,” he attempts.
Older Lando clearly knows that’s not the right answer, throwing his head back and laughing, grip tightening on Lando’s jaw. “Not quite,” he teases, looking way too smug. “You’ll remember soon enough.” Before Lando can consider what that means, Older Lando is grabbing him by the waist and leading him away from the kitchen. “He’s in here.”
There’s no time to question who he is as he’s led into a bedroom. Lying in the bed before him, half-awake on his phone, is none other than Mr. Oscar Piastri.

“Cut it out, Lando,” Oscar hisses quietly, eyes hard as he shakes Lando’s hand off of him.
It’s a completely understandable reaction from him. If Lando was being used as a human fidget toy without his consent, he would feel the exact same way.
What isn’t understandable, however, is Lando’s own reaction over being scolded by Oscar. He can feel the embarrassed blush spreading on his skin from head to toe. There’s this weird tingling sensation that blooms from the back of his neck, coursing through his veins.
He doesn’t need a mirror to know what he must look like staring back at Oscar’s stern expression.
