Summary
Ever since Cas fell, Dean has come to be over protective of him, even though he's proved he's just a good a hunter as both Sam and Dean. Dean thinks that maybe he could have Cas sit out on this case, but it really doesn't make sense. Because it's a couples resort where people are disappearing, and what else is there to do but go undercover? And to go undercover, someone needs to "marry" someone. And if Cas is so set on tackling cases nowadays, Dean can't just kick him out. And he's definitely not letting Cas and Sam take on the case while he watches. So there's only one solution... right?

Summary
Dean wouldn’t say he's famous, per se, but he's definitely not a nobody. He makes the occasional YouTube video, does paranormal vlogs with his brother when life permits, and streams a variety of games on twitch. One thing he doesn't do, is show his long time boyfriend on screen, or even mention him.
A part of him always wanted to pull Cas into it, but he could never bring himself to ask. It always seemed a little too selfish to pressure him into joining them. And he probably doesn’t want to anyway; he's an adult with a respectable job who values his privacy. It’s hard enough with Dean’s schedule as a content creator and Cas’ as a professor, he doesn't need to further mess things up by making Cas play into his stupid little games.
So when Castiel appears on camera on accident, things are bound to start changing.

Down-on-his-luck private eye Cas Novak gets hired by Angelic Studios president, Nick Vaught, to investigate a contract scandal involving an infamous literary character (Lit), Dean Winchester, and Vaught’s primary nemesis, Fergus Crowley. A devilish producer and prop designer who has his hands in every movie studio, and worse yet, owns the contract for every Lit in the business except for brothers Sam and Dean Winchester from the Supernatural books.
When Crowley is found murdered, Sam Winchester becomes the primary suspect and goes on the run. The villainous Judge Edlund vows to catch and destroy Sam, having discovered a means of killing Lits with a substance known only as “Pulp”. Desperate to prove his brother’s innocence, Dean demands Cas help him find his brother before the Judge does.
Despite vowing to never work with another Lit after his twin brother's murder, Cas agrees.
