Summary
When happening to overhear a conversation about himself between Ratchet and the trio of human children at their base, Optimus is forced to take a deep look at himself and dive into what drives him and his emotions. Gazing back at what formed him into the bot he is today proves to draw up some thoughts that more than causes a slight clash between himself and Ratchet when the topic is brought up later on. Are he and Megatron so different, really?

What was the proper response to:: Curiosity; Sensation of great speed? Was it a question? A comparison? Why, after a brief visit by National Security Director Mearing, did four different ‘Bots send:: Emphasis; overlapping? Why was a particularly bad joke by Bulkhead derided as ::Undercharged when there were actual glyphs for Not funny and Humor fail? How did any of that work?

“Psh, what are you? Afraid of dogs?” She scoffed.
“Well, I don’t really know. I’ve never seen one this close until now. The way you’re handling it reminds me of Raf with that scraplet,” he said with a shudder.
“Come on, Bulkhead. Haven’t you heard that dogs are man’s best friend?”
Bulkhead’s silence was answer enough. Miko sighed, rubbing her free hand, the hand not stroking the pup, across her face.
“He’ll only be at the base long enough for the rain to stop. Then we can try to look for his owner. And if we can’t find him by the end of day, then I’ll allow us to take him in. I pinky promise,” she said, holding out her little finger for emphasis. “Please.”

"I am detecting a significant Decepticon energy signature," Ratchet announced, his voice echoing in the silo. "Its location is... peculiar. An Amazon fulfillment center in the Nevada desert."
"Whatever their reasoning, we must investigate," Optimus Prime said, his deep voice resonating with authority. "Ratchet, the facility will be active. What is the most effective camouflage?"
Ratchet’s optic ridge twitched as he brought up a schematic. "The facility’s primary traffic consists of Class 8 semi-trucks, painted... blue... with a white 'Prime' logo."
A rare, quiet snort came from Bulkhead, which he quickly disguised as a cough. Miko, however, had no such restraint.
"Oh my gosh! 'Optimus... Prime!' It's destiny!" she cackled.
"It's degrading," Ratchet muttered, activating the base's hard-light customizer. The system whirred, overlaying Optimus's classic red and blue paint with the corporate blue and white smile of an Amazon delivery vehicle. His trailer was similarly transformed into a matching container. "A leader of our race, a Prime... forced to masquerade as a common carrier for... foam fingers and cat litter."I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this...

Recharge? Who needs that when there is so much to fret about?
(Un)Fortunately for the medic, Optimus isn't the type of mech who give up and he's not above for the most underhanded, sneaky tactic at his disposition:

Summary
Ratchet hadn’t caved in when Agent Fowler had become their official liaison with the human government, but from the moment Raf, Jack and Miko became semi-permanent fixtures in their lives, the old medic had given up and just… started reading everything he could about organic diseases and ailments.
And he was. Out. Of. His. Processor. With. Horror.
How had humans even managed to survive so far on their lonesome?!
Or, Ratchet is a grumpy mech, a good medic, and a panicked wreck the moment Raf starts sneezing. Okay, perhaps not a panicked wreck, but his mother-hen tendencies are truly showing...

He'd do it himself, but he's a giant robot truck, so he can't exactly walk up to the guy at the impound lot and hand over his license and registration, and unfortunately she's the only human he knows that he doesn't think will immediately turn him over to the other giant robot trucks (and cars, and motorcycles, etc.).

Summary
Running even lower on fuel than they were used to, the rest of the team heads out to see if they can locate any remaining energon deposits that hadn't already been scouted by the Decepticons.
Meanwhile, Ratchet, running on fumes, manages comms for the mission and finds himself lost in thought at his operations console until the human children contact him for an after school portal to the base, feeling similarly more run down than usual.
Eventually, Ratchet and the kids give in to their need for a nap.
