She missed that aspect—Ruby's loud voice and flamboyant, yet determined attitude. She wished she had that kind of confidence.
No, she had to tread on, no matter the issue. Everyone else came first.
And that was exactly her problem; putting herself second, the same thing Ruby always did, acting selflessly out of the kindness of her heart...
...even while dying.
