Summary
Jazz is a small-time criminal broker. Against his better judgment, he agrees to fence a stolen tactical computer, but instead of a fancy mod, that ‘computer’ turns out to be a beautiful, amnesiac Praxian.
Jazz may be a criminal, but he’s got limits, and mecha trafficking is one of them. He frees the captive Praxian and embarks on a quest to help the mech regain his memory.
It won’t be easy. The mech’s kidnappers aren’t happy their prize was stolen, and looming overhead is the spectre of whoever commissioned that tactical computer, and their unknown intentions for its bearer.

Summary
There is a cultural trope shared in the Vos-Praxus region: a sufficiently jealous mech will claw off the faceplate of their perceived rival. Although rooted in reality, it's way less common than the soap operas and daytime dramas would let you believe. And even if you don't watch any long-winded Praxian productions where the third of the events is bots clawing each other's faces off, you just know as the sun is in the sky and Primus is below that going for the faceplates with claws is something jealous Seekers and Praxians do.
Prowl hates the stereotype. He hates the soap operas and the daytime TV programming. He would like everyone to know that he never ever used his claws on someone's face, much less tried to take it off.
Until one fine cycle someone tries to flirt with Jazz.

“Welcome Megatron. Soundwave: welcomes you to The Sanctuary. It has been a while” Soundwave spoke, snapping Megatron out of his daze. His emf field was dizzyingly calm like a warm oil bath against Megatron's sharp anxious field. Megatron quickly pulled his field as close to himself as possible. Megatron found himself being led by Soundwave down the ramp and towards the bay doors.
“Yes, it has been a while, my old friend. I… was not expecting all of this.” Megatron replied. This couldn't possibly be Soundwave. It was too warm compared to his cold demeanor. Where had the cold but loyal Soundwave gone? This new Soundwave makes Megatron feel small. Perhaps he spent a week polishing and refueling just to make Megatron jealous? Either way it has Megatron feeling like perhaps he should have polished a bit more like Optimus had suggested.
“All of this? Megatron: has only seen the docking bay.” Soundwave quipped back. Primus, he had gotten a sense of humor too.

Jazz is such a cool guy! He’s friends with everyone, and everyone loves him! Decepticons fear him and pray to Primus whenever he’s near, and… what else? Is there anything else known about him? Does it really matter if he’s real or fake? It does to Prowl.
Prowl isn’t good at a lot of things, however, he is emotionally intelligent and masterful at making plans. He’s very much aware of Jazz’s mistrust in everyone, even in those within the Autobots, and the only people he trusts are fewer than a handful. Prowl wishes to be part of that “fewer than a handful” because Jazz is just so cool! More specifically, he wishes to hug him.
What’s the most rational thing to do when you want to hug the most mistrusting mech (besides Red Alert) in all of Autobot history who breaks mechs limbs if they even brush their armor against his? You make a 47,813 step plan, obviously!
With enough patience, if he follows his plan to a T, and if everything aligns with how he simulated it in his processor, he’ll get that hug in approximately 1 million vorns! Piece of cake!
Operation: Befriending Jazz Without Getting Killed for Looking Like a Spy, is a go
