When Crowley, a low level member of a rival organization get's into some trouble and needs help, he unknowingly goes straight to London's most prominent crime boss.
For Aziraphale's part, he loves beauty. He loves decadence and art and food, and is not in the habit of denying himself the things he wants. The moment he sees Crowley, he knows he is beauty personified. He wants him, and he will have him, even if he needs to crush a rival crime boss beneath his heel to keep him.Series

“Were you aware that I’m the only angel in all of the years since Earth’s beginning, who has never lost a corporation? I know you have, and I’ve heard about the paperwork of course, but I’ve not filled it out myself, even once. It’s entirely because you’ve never let me.”
Crowley looked away sharply and took a quick drink. “You’d be insufferable to deal with afterwards, and who knows if they’d have sent you back at all with all that nonsense Gabriel’s always on about. Bugger that he is, should send him a nice fruit basket for leaving you alone, really. Nice, as in filled entirely with rats.”
Aziraphale touched his shoulder. “Crowley."
The demon flinched away, pulling his legs back. Aziraphale could practically see the walls forming and panicked. “I’ve never had anyone else, you know, rescue me. It’s only that I’m wondering how you always find me when I need you.”
Crowley looked strangely hurt by the words, a quiet sort of devastation creeping around his lips. “Of course I find you. You call for me, and you needed me, so I came.”

Crowley’s snake eyes make it difficult to read. He has to squint and sound out words, and it gives him a headache. So, he’s pretty much stopped reading all together, until Aziraphale lends him a book he thinks the demon will like. When Aziraphale catches Crowley struggling to read the book, he sits down and reads to him. Aziraphale/Crowley. Friendship, romance, love confessions, etc. One-Shot.

Crowley flees Europe during World War II. To Hawaii, at a REALLY bad time (poor unlucky bastard). Kushiel, the Angel of Punishment, assumes Pearl Harbor is Crowley's doing, and attacks him, very nearly killing him. Crowley invokes his right to Sanctuary, which only a willing angel can grant outside of a church. Who do you think he calls? Now it's up to Aziraphale to rescue him without making it look like a rescue to his fellow angels.

The only one who can stop them is Aziraphale, but when Heaven offers him the chance at redemption he makes a mistake which comes at a cost. Now the angel must find a way to save his friend, even if that means going to the birthplace of pain itself to get him back.
