Hermes knew that there had to be some sort of catch, something terrible about the place to justify the suspiciously low rent.
He had assumed (correctly) that it would be a wreck, in desperate need of renovations and probably chock full of asbestos and lead and who knows what else. He was also unfazed by the fact that the walls were paper thin and the ceiling closer to a leaky sieve than anything else, as well as the fact that his front door refused to shut or lock properly.
And yet—even with all the things Hermes had anticipated about the apartment—the ghost was a complete surprise.

Summary
Caleb likes to think if he is overly good at one thing, one skill he wishes he didn’t have, it’s fucking up.
It usually ends in disaster. That time he tried to help cook dinner that resulted in Caduceus hating salt for a month. That time he tried to make a light joke to Yasha and reminded her of her wife. That time he tried to steal a spell scroll and Fjord threatened to kill him. That time he burned his family alive in his childhood home and went catatonic for a decade.
The phrase “go big” as an encouragement wasn’t supposed to apply to his fuck ups. But it does. Oh, it does.
Very rarely though Caleb comes out no worse for wear. And once, it actually improved his quality of life. Though it mostly made him miserable first. And the group nearly fell apart. Fjord almost died. More than once Caleb fervently called out to the Wildmother to have the earth open and swallow him whole.
But Caduceus still under-salts the soup for Caleb’s taste, and now his life is a little less bleak, so. All things considered

Blinky and AAARRGH aren't entirely sure what's up with the amnesiac youngling they seemed to have acquired, but they love him nonetheless.
And above ground, Douxie can tell there's something coming for Arcadia, something bad, and something Eternal.

Would it be personal, or merely political, if Captain Widogast didn’t want that war to end? Not like that. Personal, or political, for the desperate sailor, Fjord, who put himself so unknowingly in his path? Or for the rival Revelry Captain whose strange sea god has an interest in both of them?
A/N: A concept piece loosely based on season one of the TV series Black Sails; I’ll continue it, my schedule and my outstanding WIP allowing, and reader interest encouraging.

The world of trolls and magic is new and exciting at first, but with only her frenemy-of-sorts Steve to watch her back, who knows when danger will next strike?
The changelings are coming to close in on her, infiltrating her hometown of Arcadia - And there's something strangely weird going on with her acting partner, Jim.
(OR, to summarise, a punk Claire is the new Trollhunter, Steve draws in his free time and is unknowingly a wizard, and Jim is a very stressed out half-changeling.)
