“They sent a Witcher?” A light voice asked, almost musical in tone. “They must really be worried.”
“Yeah, you went after an Omega!” Lambert snapped at the bandit.
“Hey, I only went through her bag,” the voice corrected, coming closer. “…Now what should I do with you?”Or: Lambert gets a little careless on a job, and ends up held captive by the bandit (Jaskier) he was hired to catch.

Summary
Jaskier gets jumped by a bunch of bandits, who happen to be so dumb as to stab him with an ancient artifact. When he wakes up, the bandits are slaughtered, and Jaskier has a new hunger. He decides he can't and won't live like this, and searches out a witcher to kill him when he's unsuccessful himself. Of course......he finds Geralt, or does Geralt find him?

When Jaskier wakes up, the light is uncommonly bright to his eyes, and he has to squint against it. He’s not sure he remembers going to sleep the previous night, and briefly accuses himself of gulping down the bottle of Toussainti wine he’d filched from the inn, leaving a few crowns in its place.He rubs his hands over his face, and realises that as he does so, the strange metallic scent that hangs in the air gets stronger. When he pulls his hands away to look at his palms, he stiffens. There are red stains on the skin, some of it dried and flaking in the creases.
It’s very definitely not wine.

Summary
A simple job of putting down a gryph quickly goes sideways in the most spectacular way possible. Jaskier as always has tagged along and finds himself close to becoming monster chow while. While he and Geralt make it out alive the battle has some unforeseen consequences.
His head is pulled to the side as Geralt sinks his teeth in again, and again, and again. Until shaky moans are torn out of his throat, warm blood is smeared against his skin as his doublet is pushed further up. It leaves a trail that a small gust of wind cools down, goosebumps rising on his skin in response.
“I can smell you, can always smell you.” Smell him? He is starting to think Geralt might have hit his head or something. Because the Witcher was making absolutely no sense. Especially with how- fuck okay- with how he was now rutting against him apparently. And if that wasn’t something. Geralt nuzzled his neck, leaving hickeys and love bites while his hips ground into Jaskier’s.
“Always smell, but never mine, never for me.” His speech is a little slurred, and it could just be from blood loss be Jaskier is starting to think it might be something else. Specifically whatever poison the gryph had in its tail.

Summary
Humans, through their vile curses and pogroms on Witcher settlements, drove the only ones who would help them run monsters away from their kingdoms back to their keeps. One of the elder Witchers, Vesemir, called together Witchers of any School to join him in Kaer Morhen. Wolves and Cats and Griffins and Vipers could shelter in the crumbling walls of Kaer Morhen while the Continent beyond the mountain slowly fell apart.
Desperate to get Witchers back into their kingdoms to rid themselves of monsters, an offer is made; kings and queens of the Continent will let Witchers return to their kingdoms and walk through them with free passage, if the Witchers of Kaer Morhen are given an assurance that no harm will come to them while they're outside the reach of the mountain.
Their assurance comes in the form of a prince offered up in marriage to the White Wolf, appointed King of the Witchers.

Summary
Geralt never really thought much about why he did it. His hands had a life of their own sometimes, and after slaying a monster and writing as many specifics he thought could be useful in his journal, he drew it. Sometimes he drew the whole monster, other times he captured just some details, like claws, teeth, wings, a spiked tail...but he didn’t stop at drawing monsters for long.

Yuuji’s grandfather is burning when the strangest man he’s ever met asks him to choose his hell.
“Will it be you?” Yuuji asks. “The one to kill me.”
There’s a brief pause before the response. “Probably. I wouldn’t entrust Sukuna’s vessel to anyone else, certainly not at full power.”
Something twinges in Yuuji’s chest at the assumption there. A duller clench follows—not quite guilt.
“No,” he says, finally looking up. “I mean now.”
Even with the blindfold—worth a sharp flare of confusion each time he looks at Gojou—Yuuji can tell Gojou’s surprised. He can see it twist into a frown too, and it’s somehow a kinder expression than all his smiles have been.
“Definitely then,” Gojou tells him. “I’m already here anyway. Just so we’re clear—you’re choosing to die now?”
When told to choose his hell, Itadori Yuuji picks the easier one—a clean death, then and there. He couldn’t have known that it was never really a choice.

Jaskier wasn't in the market for a replacement witcher. Not after Geralt had broken his heart so thoroughly. There must surely be more appreciative audiences and travel companions to be had, and if he was lucky maybe even with a smidge less chaos and mortal peril thrown into the bargain.
Yet within a fortnight, he'd gone and stumbled across another witcher in the middle of absolutely nowhere. It's possible that Destiny is laughing at him.
