After the Council refuses to train Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi leaves the Jedi Order and everything he ever wanted to follow his Master’s dying wishes. Together, Obi-Wan and his new… student? brother? son? friend? (He still hasn’t quite figured that one yet), return to Tatooine to free Shmi Skywalker (because what else could they do?). It… Doesn’t go exactly to plan (per usual).
Things escalate quickly and, well, Jabba the Hutt is dead and Obi-Wan is now the most wanted man in the Hutt-controlled part of the Galaxy.[...]
Jango Fett didn’t really need money, so exorbitant and rising price on the Jabba murderer’s head was not what drawn him to the contract. It was the rumours that the rouge Jetti was responsible and if Jango hated anything, it was the Jetisse.
If he was getting payed to drag one to the Hutts, to die a slow, honorouless death on the top of a generous payment, even better.
In hindsight though, he probably should have left Boba on Kamino. In hindsight, he should have thought twice before having one night stands with hot, red-headed strangers right before the start of a hunt.

Going back to bookmark this cuz this is beautiful it's soft but it hurts
I wanted to cry a bit but bc I'm happy after reading it
Empire Era fics with the prequel characters tend to do that to me
I love this take on the pairing and hating that we know that both sides are alive but Jango and Boba (and undoubtedly Obi-Wan) are still mourning. I love Jango and Boba here. The moment he's preparing for Boba to decide to set off, and how he checks in on him when he's away. Joining the rebellion (before he saw Obi-Wan, which I like!). The bit with Ahsoka and Rex, especially when she called him ba'buir -- it was really well done. In general, I adore how Jango was with the clones in this series, and the Jedi. It's so sweet and it hurts more bc when Order 66 plays out he's hurting.
I love reunions. Happy reunions.

There’s nothing romantic about science!”
His dad hums. “I don’t know, I think I can kinda see where the kid’s coming from. Maybe next time, you can ask him what he means. Start a conversation about it.”
“I don’t want to start a conversation about it,” Keith grumbles. “I’ve been trying to avoid conversation.”
“He’s just trying to be friendly, Keith,” his father chuckles. “It’s not the worst thing in the world.”
Maybe it is, Keith thinks, but doesn’t say. “Whatever,” he mumbles instead. “So, what’s the new gossip about Mrs. Finkle and the guy who keeps digging up her rose bushes?”

"It’s good to see you, Lance,” he says.
His voice is raw; his face feels naked. Keith’s known for his poker face, but here, in front of Lance, he has no self control. His emotions are spilling over onto his face like tears, too strong to be constrained.
He looks into Lance’s eyes and that suddenly doesn’t seem like such a bad thing.
“Yeah,” Lance whispers, a gentle and devastating smile on his face. He reaches a hand up — soft, Keith notes — and tucks some hair behind Keith’s ear. His fingers trace a gentle path across Keith’s jaw; his eyes flick across his face but inevitably come back to meet Keith’s own, the blue in them impossibly seeming warm toned with the full fond force of Lance’s gaze.
“It’s good to see you, too,” Lance says.
Has Keith mentioned yet that he loves him?
