She's far too busy trying to run the Bureau for Endangered Creatures efficiently, dealing with budget cuts and ignorant ministry officials and finding a way to somehow restore her parents' memories, who are still in Australia and none the wiser about the existence of their daughter.
When she discovers that the Wizengamot plans to use Draco Malfoy as a scapegoat whilst dealing with elusive Voldemort loyalists, she offers to testify for him. She's not quite sure how it led to her trying on wedding dresses under the watchful eye of Narcissa Malfoy.

Summary

Years after the war, Hermione finds herself traveling to Romania to help Charlie track down an unknown species of Dragon that's been sighted in the mountains of the national forest.
While Charlie is looking to capture and relocate the new species to the sanctuary for further research, Hermione's interest is to enforce the laws involving the transportation and exploitation of the creature.
That is, until she comes in contact with the Dragon when no one else has been able to approach it. She finds that there is an almost human intellect to it and it exhibits something akin to emotions.
She soon discovers that the new species is not as it appears and is indeed her past nemesis, Draco Malfoy.
He has been cursed to live out his days as a beast and his nights as a man, forever alone with only his memories to haunt him as he struggles to survive alone in the wilderness.

“Alright,” said Pansy. “Then we’re still stuck. How do we divide three rooms between three girls and three boys?”
“You share with Ginny. Blaise shares with Ron. And then Draco and I can share,” said Hermione easily, scrolling through the phone at the rest of the property images.
Pansy’s attention snapped to Draco so fast, he almost jolted at the impact of it.
“Oh?” She said with pointed interest. Draco shook his head minutely at her and her brows shot up. She turned back to Hermione.
“Why you and Draco, Hermione?”
“Well it’s such a lovely house, it’d be a shame to pass it up just because of sleeping arrangements.” She glanced up, perhaps sensing the underlying emphasis in Pansy’s question, and met his eyes. “You don’t mind, do you Draco? Or I could share with Ron if you’d rather be with Blaise?”
“Don’t mind a bit.” He sipped his tea, the picture of nonchalance.

“I don’t know where my parents are, Harry.” She mumbled after a few minutes of silence. She felt Harry freeze.

This fic was set to private for a few months. I struggled with the fact that I lost the confidence I needed to continue working on a story that I love so much. Regardless of whether I ever regain enough courage to complete it, I'm proud of where I am with it for now. So back up it goes. It's not abandoned but is not actively being worked on at this time.
"Muggleborn." Draco interrupts Lupin.
"Muggleborn?"
"Yes. If you require that I be Polyjuiced to work alongside the Order, I'll agree to it, but I won't be masquerading as a half-blood."
Lupin tilts his head in confusion. "I admit, I don't understand. Is this some misguided idea of penance?"
"Penance? No, you da..." Draco takes in a deep breath and then lets it out harshly. "No. I told you I want proximity. Your Order needs her, and no one has as much of a vested interest in her safety as I do. If Snatchers find us, and they think I'm a half-blood, do you think I have a shot in hell at going where they take her? No. Muggleborn. Or I have no interest in your ruse. Understand?"
Lupin gapes at the resolved pureblood. "Yes. I'm beginning to."

He quickly stopped walking and looked into the pub window with confusion. He only knew one person with curls like that. He would remember them anywhere after many years of memorizing them within the corridors of Hogwarts.
He walked slightly closer to the window and saw the woman place a beer in front of someone while laughing. She then went to another to ask them what they wanted, turned to grab a clear liquor with two shot glasses and poured.
Nothing about this made any sense to him. She had won the war and any opportunity she ever wanted was an open door yet here she was behind a bar in muggle London."What’s got you stopped in front of this little pub.” Theo asked confused as he squinted to get a better look inside to see what had Draco stopped in his tracks. “Bloody hell, Is that Granger? There are many forms of magic not easily explained. It was something Hermione had learned on her own when she was first made aware of the Wizarding World. People, or should she say Wix, were guilty of oversimplifying, excluding, or brushing right past valuable information that could make all the difference to someone like Hermione—a muggleborn.
It’s why she liked books so much. They were an abundance of information, all very useful things, things no one had ever bothered explaining to her about the magical world.
But no book could have prepared her for what happened on her trip to the ocean with her parents the summer before her sixth year. She hadn’t even thought to read about halfbloods other than werewolves. No one ever mentioned there being other kinds, let alone that creature magic could lay dormant in a bloodline for centuries.
But it could and there were. And she knew now. Because she was one.
