Hiding in the comforting woods of an unfamiliar world, he knows what awaits him when the people of Gondolin find him. And he accepts that. It isn't until he is violently renounced by his mother that he finally finds the strength to face his perceived fate - only for nothing to go as he thought it would.

Percy really should have known better than to stand near two arguing gods, but in his defense, he was distracted by the sight of the original salt water spring his father apparently kept. The same one from the famed Athens competition.
When a sibling bonding activity gone wrong sends him back in time, Percy finds himself in a period right after the competition. As in, he hears Athena being named the winner, right after.

Being the God of the Bridge was supposed to mean harmony.
Being the Dean of the Olympian Campus mostly means paperwork, dragon fights in the quad, and convincing Zeus that fountains don’t need to be turned into low fat milk.
Percy Jackson thought godhood was complicated but running a university for five thousand ADHD demigods with magical powers is chaos on a whole new level. Between Hera’s “Campus Safety” patrols, Hermes kids pulling pranks with garden gnomes, and Silas Grace McLean accidentally delivering pizzas by hurricane, Percy has to balance divine domains with office hours, parent-teacher conferences, and the occasional lecture on Hope.
The Bridge isn’t just about gods anymore. It’s about building a community where demigods can laugh, learn, and live without fear. And if that means teaching Zeus the difference between “discipline” and “helicopter parenting,” Percy is more than ready.
