Scaramouche is a student with an infected mind and a need for an audience.The static muscles on his face twitched and he hurried to sit back down. There was blood all over the screen, gushing from an artery that had been torn violently. Zandik frowned and rewound the video a minute ago. After finishing the blood bird, the guy, with a confidence not previously inherent in him, slashed the blade across the drawing, cutting almost to the bone.
It was suicide. Zandik recoiled from the screen in disbelief.
No, it wasn't.

Summary
But it was still bitter and strange to look at Butters. Every minute together felt like a countdown, like taking a deep breath before dying. Butters' stories about the programs he chose, about college campuses far, far away, and about the plans he made for life made Kenny feel like a dog on a leash at a supermarket, abandoned by its owner, and then a child came up to pet it until his mother screamed and pulled him away by the hand, pulling out an antiseptic. He wagged his tail and watched loyally, knowing that Butters would soon be dragged away from him far and forever.
Or: Butters leaves for college and Kenny is afraid of dying on a construction site.

Kenny thought it was kind of poetic: Kenny was trash on the outside, Butters was trash on the inside. That's why Kenny liked him. He was shit enough to make Kenny feel worthy of his company. At least that's how it was until McCormick started hanging out at the Stotch house.

They’ve freed another planet, and they’re attending another celebration, when Lance notices that Keith has disappeared. When Lance finds him, something is clearly not quite right with the red paladin.
Aka: The alien beverages served at the party apparently affect Galra much more strongly than humans, and Lance discovers that Keith’s anger is a very thin veneer that conceals a deep-seated loneliness.

But it was a subtle sort of weird that no one else seemed to have noticed, the type of weird that would make the others think that he was weird for noticing it in the first place.
Keith didn’t rise to any of his jabs. Keith didn’t poke fun at him. Keith followed Shiro’s orders to the letter and didn’t pull any dangerous stunts. Keith barely even talked.

Lightning thinks it’s a bookmark, for a split second. But then his vision shifts into focus and he realizes it’s actually a magazine clipping being used as a bookmark. Someone cut out a picture of a young man in very low-riding jeans. The image is captioned Slender Andre has one reader drooling all over the page!
Lightning stares. He squints. He feels numb all over, limbs oddly heavy and tingling, blood pounding in his ears making his own heartbeat sound exactly how it does when he’s under water: echoey, resounding, alien.
