It’s a ghost, Danny realizes. All of it. Kinglet is a ghost. Amity is a ghost.
Something he’s irrevocably part of.
He stumbles to a stop in the dirt, gasping with his hands on his knees. It feels like the ground is tilting underneath him.
Ghosts—echoes.
Ghosts don’t go anywhere. They stay, and they stay, and they stay. It’s in their nature. It’s in their definition. Kinglet stays—Amity stays—and Danny stays.
Everyone is moving on while Danny can’t. The anti-ecto cuffs trapping him inside his own body and his parents hunting him through the forest in the dead of night don’t help, either.

Vash hopes Brad doesn’t blame himself. Vash is the one who lied to and manipulated all of the lovely humans on Ship Three, most of whom never even hurt him at all, even though Vash is a useless Plant who probably doomed all of humanity.
In any case, the scent of Ship Three is unmistakable because it smells like the ever-implacable home still, even if it can’t be Vash’s anymore.

It's the first winter after Pitch's defeat. Jack is happy, he's not alone anymore, and his memories are gradually returning. But when a treasure hunt gone wrong puts Jack and Jamie in danger, flinging them through time and space, they find themselves on an island neither of them have heard of before. Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.
Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.

Matt and Shiro are surprised by the strange, last minute addition to the Kerberos mission, one Danny Fenton. He's weird, as in really weird. Like, is-he-even-human weird- yes that's a serious question.
The three of them become fast friends, going through the last of the mission's training together before finally taking off into space. Matt is determined to figure Danny out, and Danny is determined to remain un-figured out. In retrospect, Shiro probably wouldn't have cared that much, even though he doesn't really care at all, if he'd known what was really waiting for them on Pluto's moon.
