Summary
Flambae is almost asleep when he feels a pair of hands sliding up his thighs. He snaps his eyes open and looks down — and there’s Robert. His hair is messy, his face hidden in the dark shadows of the room. Flambae has no idea if this is a sleep-deprivation hallucination or alcohol still in his system, but the way Robert touches him feels real. Too real.
After a night of getting dragged into a bar fight at The Sardines and eating tacos from a questionable late-night joint with the Z-Team, Flambae gets home and starts questioning his feelings about Robert… until things heat up.

How Flambae found out that Robert is MechaMan, and how things between them shifted after that into something even more complicated… and way more tense.

Summary
The thing about plastic chairs is that they weren't a great substitute for an actual bed; the other thing is, Robert can't exactly afford to be picky and even if he 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 the internal debate is still ongoing as to whether or not he deserves a mattress at this current point in his life.
So, the plastic chair stays and is staying for the foreseeable future. Besides, it's charming - in a depressing, minimalism-that-is-totally-not-a-reflection-of-his-inner-sense-of-worth way.

“Wait.” Flambae blurted, voice strained.
Robert’s fingers tensed on the channel button, halting his motion. “…yeah?”
The line went quiet for a moment before Flambae made a soft, surrendering sound.
“Fuck.” he borderline whined, and Robert couldn’t help the way his breath caught in his throat.
“...Do you…want help? Or something?” Robert winced, regretting the words as soon as they left his mouth. “The sooner you’re done with…whatever this is, the sooner you can get back out on the field. So—just tell me what you need.”
Another beat of silence and Robert briefly considered taking the offer back, asking Flambae to forget he even said anything. A rough exhale whistled in his ears.
“Talk to me.”

“Look.” he continued, hands raised in surrender. “You’re pissed. I get it. As you know, the rest of my day wasn’t that fucking great either.”
He nodded towards the corner of the ceiling, where one of several small CCTV cameras sat. “But if you’re going to incinerate me, could you at least do it in a blind spot? I don’t exactly want my charred corpse caught in 4k.”
Flambae glanced around at the cameras, puffing out a warm, steady breath. He met Robert’s gaze again, hot embers burning beneath his glare. Flambae’s other fist curled, trembling slightly.
Robert licked his lips and braced, fully expecting to have to come up with a brand new excuse tomorrow for why his nose was busted this time around.
Instead, his eyes narrowed when Flambae’s glare — for the smallest, most imperceptibly short moment — flitted down, tracking the motion. Flambae’s gaze snapped back up, looking caught.
Robert blinked, eyes widening. His mouth fell open, the corner of his mouth ticking up just a fraction. “Oh.”

Or, Robert and Flambae run into eachother after hours, post the “comms incident”. They argue a bit, then finish what they started.

Astarion was watching him with those deep crimson eyes hidden in the shadows that surrounded them, a hint of playful cruelty behind them. A smile played on his beautifully curved lips as he lightly twirled the green bottle of cold brewed tea between his fingers, the glass glinting in the flickering candles in a sconce above them on aged wood and paper. “You promised me you'd drink the whole bottle, and it looks like you still have another glass after this.”
“That was,” Gale paused to delicately shift his body into a more comfortable spot, letting out a low moan as the new position did nothing for his problem. “Before you helpfully suggested I hydrate before heading out, not that I am not grateful for the reminder, of course, but it does leave me feeling rather full, as it were.”
