Summary
Jon Snow did not take the black as a green boy of only five-and-ten. He travelled across the Seven Kingdoms and the Narrow Sea for five years, meeting new folk and growing as a man. He returns to Winterfell in 303 AC, four months before the death of Jon Arryn draws King Robert Baratheon north. He is surprised to learn that he has been granted his own holdfast and lands to go with it: Queenscrown, as well as the New Gift. He certainly made the right choice those five years ago.

One trip back in time is thrown into chaos as the portal she travels through is struck by lightning the moment she enters it. The Tudor England of 1526 she wakes to on the other side is wholly different from the one she knows.
She soon discovers she has taken a very prominent place in Tudor history. Her next greatest shock comes when she finds the man on the throne is no longer the King Henry VIII she thought she knew, but King Kylo VIII.
Just as mysterious as the changes of history is the bond she discovers she shares with the young king, which seems to come alive the moment they lay eyes on each other.

Summary
The gods have been forgotten and science has enveloped the nation. Gunpowder has been discovered and weapons grow more dangerous ever year. Faith in the future is lost.
On an isolated island, left untouched by science, is a community still devoted to the gods, and a priest who believes he can convert the world back to belief and faith. On reaching the mainland, he is overwhelmed by the turmoil present across the country; rebellion in the north, cruel censorship in the south, and heartless greed throughout. Allies are few and far between. Scorn follows him like a plague, and from his only companion most of all; an exiled knight from a far away island, with a curious pet and a strong disdain for faith of any sort.
Ricky and Tinsley make their way from one end of the country to the other, from freezing snow in the Great Mines to the fog fields of Gravehearth to the glittering lights of Arcania, and find themselves an odd cast of supporters on the way, helpful and unhelpful in equal measures.
And Ricky begins to wonder if there is more to his own faith than he had been told.

This scene can be a short prequel to the magnificent epic ‘Chained by War and Love’ by Athenais Penelope Clemence. In chapter 1, Anne mentions François’ warnings during their meeting at Château de Fontainebleau. It can also be a standalone one-shot.
This is a gift for several dearest friends who have a special meaning to me.
