Kevin doesn't mind the pain, although the blood and wounds make it hard to talk, and He has to tip His head forward so He doesn't choke. The supervisor who oversees Him doesn't seem to notice if His words are a little more blood-logged today, so Kevin thinks it's okay.

Kevin does not recognise Himself. Kevin feels perfect, feels more that just perfect. He does not want to see the old him in the new Him. The old him was grumpy, and resistant to change. Kevin is glad that him is gone.
This is the first time Kevin has looked in a mirror since StrexCorp came and cleaned up their sad little town. He thinks He's never felt more Himself—or maybe His brain moulded to his body rather than His body to His brain. Kevin doesn't remember how He felt before, not really, He just knows there was an unfixable disconnect between Himself and His appearance. He thinks that's gone now.

Summary
Cecil had never felt such an acute, unplaceable sense of unease—which was saying quite a bit, considering where he lived—but something about the presence of this vortex makes the hairs on the back of Cecil's arms prickle. Say do not like this. Not one bit. Despite the feeling of wrong that the portal emits, it calls to him. The unknown is always scarier than the truth, or something along those lines.
The spinning mass feels like void, and looks like it too, as Cecil inches towards it. It also feels like say is about to do something irreversible, like says life will never be the same. As he crosses through, he has the most disconcerting feeling—as if he's being switched out, or changed, or replaced in some other indescribable way.

Every nerve in Kevin's body is alight with pain—at least, that's what it feels like. She is doing everything in her power to resist whatever mind fuckery torture Strex is trying to enact on him, but she is only one person, and they seem to have a horribly refined system.
Her body is overcome with tremors, and it's a miracle and a half that he's still managing to string together a coherent set of thoughts. Even if they are mostly praying to whatever benevolent force may be left out there.

Cecil is drunk again. He is drunk and laying on his kitchen floor, which from this vantage looked like somewhere else completely. The ceiling is covered in static, which is probably because the void concentration in Cecil' apartment has been completely out of whack.
Cecil is trying to find patterns in the static. Squares and triangles, and even a face with no eyes—or maybe zee's started hallucinating. It's all a bit fuzzy right now.

Summary
Temporal displacements at the radio station were nothing special. Interns saw their dead siblings, or parents, or pets all the time. Sometimes you could faintly hear a conversation down the hallway that happened years ago—or hadn't happened at all.
Kevin's broadcasting equipment was old, and therefore more predisposed to such phenomena, so when it once again started giving him feedback from other times, he was not worried.
"Sorry, listeners! Oh! This wire looks a little loose—I'll just wiggle it a bit…" Kevin says, doing exactly as she narrates. The wire shifts, and suddenly there's another voice.

Carlos and mortality have a rocky relationship on the best of days. He is acutely aware of his beating heart and all the ways it can stop. When the fainting spells started in college, he did everything in his power to get them to stop. And it worked, for a time. Then when he moved to Night Vale, with it's heat and sun and dry weather, they started again.
As a man of science, Carlos tries to explain it. Solve it. He knows what is wrong, on some level. On another level, he doesn't want to admit to himself what the problem is.
