His mom had told him about Sioux Falls before she died. She said her brother lived there and maybe they would go meet him after the new baby was born. It was one of the only memories he still had about her. He held onto it.
Go to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Find Robert Campbell. Pray he would be loving like his mother was and would help them find a place. And they would finally have a good life.
He had made his escape plan long ago, when he was still a little kid. After Sam was born, Dean would tell him stories about how one day they were going to go there and would be happy and free.

Summary
Castiel never expected to meet Dean Winchester. Castiel was a catholic boy growing up in an upper-middle-class neighborhood. Dean was just a poor kid trying to navigate the life given to him. They didn't have any mutual friends, nor did they attend the same schools. They didn't even share the same hobbies or regularly visit the same places. By all accounts, they should never have crossed paths.
Despite all of this, fate had other plans for them.
