Ok, I played the three games, I escaped the last game, and am now running from a big pink spider, angry because my sudden unwillingness to play (who am I kidding it wasn't sudden) SOMEHOW counted as cheating.
I signed up for ghosts. I mean, you don't just get a letter from a company whose been closed for ten years with a ton of missing person reports, about how all missing victims are still in the factory and expect to find a self sufficient commune underground. No! You expect ghosts because ACTUALLY, most of those people were found, in pieces.
I signed up to deal with ghosts, I know how to deal with ghosts, NOT GIANT LIVING TOYS!!!

Summary
Halloween was one of Monsterkind’s favorite celebrations, at least in the AUs that could afford to celebrate it. All the AUs that had an abundance of resources could afford to waste fabric on silly costumes and sugar on candies. That hadn’t been the lived experience of Nightmare’s ex-henchmen, however.
It reminded Dust far too much of his brother and that silly fake armor he would always wear, and he… he couldn’t deal with it most of the time.
At some point Horror had gotten to wear silly costumes and watch his brother have fun decorating the whole house with paper cutouts of bats and spiders he made himself. However, it was a fond but distant memory. By the time he got kidnapped, food was so scarce that some monsters resorted to eating whatever items of clothing they didn’t need.
In XTale they simply didn’t celebrate any holidays. To him, every day was the same.
Killer also didn’t have any memory of celebrating Halloween. However, now that he was free, he was hellbent on not only enjoying the festivity himself but also getting all of his friends to discover the beauty of it.
