Summary
A Witcher's enhanced sense of smell tells them more about the world (and the people in it) than humans could ever dream of. Thus far, it has mostly served Lambert in looking out for his brothers, and avoiding lying assholes (or pointing those lying assholes out for a beating, depending on Geralt's current orders).
When a stranger named Jaskier saves Lambert from a horrifically painful end, Lambert has no idea what to make of him, even with the help of his nose. He finds himself worrisomely obsessed with learning more about the bard. The more Lambert learns, the harder he falls, until he knows he'll do anything to stay at Jaskier's side.
Even if it means doing something Witchers never do - getting married.

Argyle feels kind of weird, cozying up in someone else's bed to get off without them. Like he's not allowed to be there, but he pushes that thought out of his mind. Steve told him he didn't need to rush, but he's still pretty sure he's not welcome to spend half the night.
A mistake thinking about Steve, because then he's—well, he's thinking about Steve. He's in Steve's bed, can smell Steve's shampoo on the sheets. And maybe he's always had kind of a thing for bossy.

Ever since Argyle had moved to Hawkins, Billy had changed. At least in Steve’s eyes. And it wasn’t a change he was complaining about, far from it. He was calmer now, he smiled and laughed more genuinely, even his posture seemed more relaxed. Steve had initially chalked this up to the heady floral scent that always followed Argyle around, but now he wondered if it was just because Argyle was Billy’s childhood friend.
Or Steve notices the way Argyle manages to keep Billy calm and is invited to join.

“It's just exploration, my guy. Everyone does it.” He says it casually, so serenely that Steve couldn’t find it in him to question. He had to admit he was curious about Tommy, but that’s as far as any of it went- curiosity and nothing more because he wasn’t gay. Right?
“Everyone?” Steve asked slowly. Now that the idea was given wings to fly the curiosity grew stronger.

Then Geralt says he’s bringing his godsdamned handsy bard to Kaer Morhen, and Lambert’s sure that even with ample forewarning, accidental touching is inevitable. It’s going to make the winter feel miserably long, and Lambert knows for a fact that he’s going to hate every second of it.
He has no idea what to do when he’s wrong.
