    Summary

Klaus wasn’t afraid of death, never really has been. It’s the people who were already there and what it seemed to do to them. Dead or alive, here or at home, he’ll be miserable. So might as well stay here where he might have a chance at something good for once. Something his supposed home could never give him.
    ~
An account of Klaus’ time in Vietnam, on a diverged path where Dave survives his injuries. Flowered with opportunities, Klaus chooses to leave his old life behind and stay in the past with him. But how will his decision effect the timeline he abandoned, where his siblings continue to fight to stop the apocalypse in his absence?

    Summary

Julian "Jaskier" Pankratz is a nineteen-year-old student at Cambridge University studying Politics and International Relations. He hates it, and he's at risk of being kicked out for poor academic performance. Failure would mean returning to his family home, and that's just not an option. He wants to travel the world singing about death and destiny; heroics and heartbreak. So he needs to pass. He takes an elective module in English Literature on love poetry, firstly because it'd piss his father off, but also because he's heard the professor has an interesting PhD student.

A passing interest begins to transform into something a whole lot more, and Jaskier finds himself faced with hard truths about life, about the society in which he lives and about himself. Society glorifies heroes and the sacrifices they make. But what happens to them when they're no longer useful?

Title is taken from the song: "If These Scars Could Speak" by Citizen Soldier.

    Summary

Jaskier's start in life was unfortunate, but sadly not unheard of. He was put in a sack, less than an hour old, and chucked in the river. For many in his position that would of been the end of it, but the Yaruga heard his cut off wail and swept him into her loving embrace.

Less than an hour old and Jaskier had already died and been reborn as the newest child of Mama Yaruga.
