Summary
Magnus Island has always been a city of tentative, fragile peace, crafted as it was, a safe haven for hedonism and vice at the edge of the world. Now, some 80 years on from slaying her founders, she is a city too, of great turmoil.
The Candlewood Institute rid the city of its first plague, ushering out the city's dying years. Every child in Magnus knows this as fact.
But with a history as murky and storied as that of the great city of Magnus, truth is a matter of much debate. Perhaps, that's why it's so sought after.
After all, you cure one plague, and another takes its place.
