Summary
Zoé continued to write down minor details about Chloé as she thought about her next move. She nodded to herself, and then flipped to another page, writing at the top Questions About Chloé.
As she wrote down her questions, Zoé felt that she could guess the answers to a lot of these, but she wanted to give her half-sister a fair shake. She had to live with her at least for the next several years. Maybe it was her being overly optimistic, maybe it was just her desire to connect to someone else who knows what it's like to have Audrey Bourgeois as a mother, but she really wanted to be friends with Chloé, somehow, without having to lie and hurt other people like she used to. In order to do that, she needed to understand her sister, and since Chloé wasn't going to tell Zoé herself, she would just have to ask other people.
Hopefully, the answers would prove enlightening.

Zoé wants a sister, but to do that she needs to learn how to be a sister herself. Chloé doesn't want a sister, but she doesn't really have a choice in the matter, especially considering how she seems to be losing most of her other relationships. Both of them have some learning to do.
