Sometimes I’d just flip through, looking at your hand-writing, or the doodles.” A faint ghost of a smile passes over Five’s face. “It was lonely there.”
Klaus swallows past the sudden lump in his throat. “Where were you, Five?”
Klaus and Five had a sort of a ~thing as teens, but that doesn't mean Klaus misses that self-important ass. Still, when Five returns home 15 years later, just in time for their father's funeral, Klaus can't deny there's something different about him, even if outwardly he looks exactly the same.
AU of the first season with a few minor tweaks that lead to some overall big canon divergence. Primarily Five was 15 when he left, and on the day he returns home, he's a few hours earlier than in the show…
