Summary
Because snake forms aren't common in Heaven, Sir Pentious is forced to use an alternate form per Sera's orders. At the same time, she places a spell on him that prevents him from speaking about who he was before and his time in Hell.
Under the alias Pen, he is sent to Hell to help them with redemption. There, he struggles to reconnect with his friends, who are still mourning his supposed "death."

Knowing what the stigma of insanity does, he’s trying his best to forget everything from his past, and hoping that nobody ever finds out.
Of course, that doesn’t help with the actual trauma.or:
I traumatized Sir Pentious by applying the logic of his own time period.

The plan? They'll pretend to be friends to show Charlie and Vaggie that Angel was serious about his redemption. Stupid and impossible idea, but Sir Pentious wasn't going to let this damn spider humiliate him a third time.

Striker is a different man when he sleeps. All the sharp edges are sanded down, dagger teeth tucked beneath the lips and tail loosely curled in a way that makes him look defenseless. He likes to sleep on his belly and – though Blitz has the common sense to not tease him about it (too much) – to hold something to the chest. A pillow, a couch cushion, whatever’s on hand. It’s not quite cuddling; more like something to ground Striker when he’s asleep, when he doesn’t have the kind of bearings and sense of space he has when awake.
