My cobra kai reverse AU. Everything about the first three movies stay the way they are, the fourth and fifth movies aren't canon, the only canon reversed in this AU are the teen timelines/show. Pretty much only the core 4 are switched, might switch demetri and hawk later once I've got more settled.

Daniel has loved Halloween ever since having a daughter. He loved dressing her up when she was a baby. How wouldn’t love a little baby girl dressed up as a pumpkin? It was a classic! But she was older now, and Sam had started deciding on her costumes for herself. Daniel was fine with that. She still looked absolutely adorable all dressed up and ready to go trick-or-treating. Daniel expected this year to go just as well as the previous years. After all, what could possibly go wrong?

Summary
Ryan LaRusso was so sick of being sidelined by her own family. Ever since she was born, when the doctors announced she had a weak heart, her parents began pulling her out of every activity known to man. It didn't matter that she'd had multiple successful surgeries; it didn't matter that the doctors had given her the go-ahead to resume her life as normal at age 7. To Daniel LaRusso, it didn't matter.
He put so much effort into coddling her and yet made no effort to actually include her in anything. He let her twin sister, Sam, learn karate. He let Anthony do anything his heart desired. But Ryan could do nothing other than observe her siblings leading their extraordinary lives, while she herself was reduced to an existence of studying and training in chess.
So when an opportunity presents itself for Ryan to do more, to learn karate, to free herself of the solitary her own family had resigned her to, she doesn't hesitate to take it. It doesn't matter that it is an opportunity to train in karate with her dad's childhood enemy. It doesn't matter that no one in the Cobra Kai dojo expects her to pull it off. All that matters is taking that All Valley trophy home. Unless Miguel Diaz beats her to it.

Sometimes Sam thinks it’s in her blood, not in the way that her father's smile is but in the way a parasite is, an infecting sort of way. She thinks, maybe, that she wasn’t born to fight but she’ll die fighting. Live fighting.
So her response to seeing her younger brother (she could still remember holding him as a baby, so small, so fragile) limping in through the back door with a black eye isn’t going to tell their parents. It’s not to reassure him, to ice his eye, or tell him to keep his head elevated to help with the blood flow.
Her first response is to grab his chin, strong enough that he can’t shake her off. Sam tilts his head to the light and calculates how much force it would have taken.

Or Cobra Kai goes after Anthony, Sam tries to protect him, and plays right into Silver's hands. Everything goes wrong and while Roby and Tory are dragging themselves out of the darkness, Sam is throwing herself in head first

Head injury?
He didn't have a head injury.
He was merely deaf.
It wasn't the first time people had assumed Robby was slow because of his disability or due to his lisp, but somehow the sting never truly faded.
(Takes place in season one and explores Robby's life if he'd been born deaf) 🎧

Summary
With Miguel running away to Mexico, their disaster prom night and what happened at the All Valley, Sam's feelings have changed. She's frustrated and fed up with herself.
After a party thrown by Moon and Yasmin ends in disaster and an argument with Daniel the next day, Sam finally snaps and starts training with Johnny and Eagle Fang full time, causing her to travel down a dark path. She finds herself in a deep downward spiral and unable to dig her way out. Amanda tries reasoning with her. Daniel tries. Miguel tries. Even Anthony tries. Yet no one is able to break through to her, until a certain someone does because they've been in a similar position.
Can Sam find herself again and gain her balance or is headed down the same path as Johnny when he lost the tournament to Daniel all those years ago?
