Just that it’s become such a habit that she’s had to explain to her roommate Josie many times that no Jonathan isn’t her boyfriend but her ex. And she’s pretty sure the rest of the dorm resents her for hogging one of the two phones on their floor for like an hour almost every night.

If she doesn’t know something she makes sure to find out. Whether it’s the answers to all the questions that can come up on the Chemistry test, or gun laws in the State of Indiana, or how to trap an otherwordly being or how to infiltrate a government facility. She’s always been studious.
Her favorite object of study is Jonathan Byers. So she knows a lot about Jonathan Byers. She knows what he smells like, sounds like, tastes like. She knows how to make him moan, how to make him almost growl, how to make him cry out her name in a voice that’s almost breaking. She knows how he looks like, every last inch of him. She knows that she loves him and that he loves her.
One thing she doesn’t know though is what they look like. Together. Intimate. So she’s curious.

After the events of season four, Hawkins was forced into a military quarantine. But when the prying eyes and concerned glances of family members start to raise suspicion outside of the small town, the military decides to make an exception. For only the week of Christmas, a select group of individuals will be allowed into Hawkins to visit loved ones. This group happens to include some of Jonathan’s California friends. Nancy isn’t quite prepared when she realizes some of these friends are very beautiful, and very interested in her boyfriend.
Or, the Christmas Jancy AU set in between the end of season 4 and beginning of season 5, where Jancy actually work out there issues regarding jealously, Emerson, and the future of their relationship.
