Summary
Robin gets curious about Steve and Eddie—specifically, how Steve can get tied up like that after Starcourt? And what would it do to her if she tried it?
---
"Do you always... Is it always a sex thing? Like the sky is always blue under the clouds even when it looks grey, and getting tied up for fun is always about sex? Or... or perhaps," Robin asks, making eye contact again, "is it like... you know, how you can share a bed with someone platonically and it's not a sex thing at all?"
"Nocturnal tumescence and all," Steve mutters under his breath, and if Eddie didn't have cords of nerves tangling up in his throat then he'd follow that thread.
But his sheep radar is registering off the charts—Robin's considering something big, and she's looking to him for answers.

Summary
“Sorry if you got a lot of shit about it. At school. From- you know.”
Eddie stares at him. “From… your basketball lackeys?”
“Sure. Yeah.”
Is this… is Harrington winding him up?
“Are you winding me up?”
“What? No. No!”
“Pardon my hesitance,” Eddie says, narrowing his eyes, “this is just- kind of unexpected. And by that, I mean- a bit of a mind fuck.”
Steve clears his throat, looks down at his shoes.
Eddie kind of dances from side to side, ducks down to recapture Steve's gaze. “And by that- I mean- cereal shopping with Steve ‘the hair’ Harrington while he apologises on behalf of high school jocks everywhere.”
---
Gareth's unintentional matchmaking skills lead Eddie to three new discoveries:
1. Steve Harrington is very bad at math
2. Steve Harrington is very fucking weird
3. Steve Harrington is dangerously easy to fall in love withBookmarked by GriefAbyss

Summary
Hop said it’s a bad habit he’s gotten himself into, these night drives. Patrolling the town when everyone’s asleep, nobody to ask the question of why Steve Harrington drives circles through Hawkins past midnight every night.
It’s nearing one a.m. and Steve sighs, because—shit. There's a van on the side of the road that wasn't there on his last lap.
He can’t drive off now. He’s already stopped. Already committed, so Steve swings his keys around his finger and sighs again. Opens the car door.
He comes to a stop a few paces away from the van. Raises his voice slightly when he says, “Hello?”
“Fucking—what, hello? What?” comes a voice from the other side of the van. “Who—jesus, if I’m about to get murdered, I swear to—wait. Harrington? Steve Harrington?”
—
Or; Steve patrols the streets of Hawkins every night, looking for monsters. One night, he finds Eddie.

Summary
"Want a ride somewhere?"
"No," Carol says immediately. He ignores the roll of her eyes and looks out into the dark street.
"I hear serial killers are most active at this hour."
"Explains why you're out here."
Eddie, with half a tank of gas and nowhere to go, just shrugs. He waits, still expecting her to say no, but then she surprises him for the second time that night: she climbs into his van.

Summary
“I love you,” Steve says, just as Robin gets halfway out the car.
It’s not what he says, exactly, she thinks, but the way he says it. Or maybe it’s because the last time she heard him say those words, they sounded like they’d been punched out of him back then, too: at Starcourt, his mouth twisting—so ready to laugh at himself—while sirens lit up his face, red and blue.
Robin thinks, just as she did then, you’re hurting.
