    Summary

As Merlin looked back in bewilderment, he found how, right in Camelot's courtyard, in front of every eyewitness, commoner and nobility—

Arthur Pendragon was on his knees.

“Merlin,” Arthur began breathlessly, tears painting his stance with plea, begging and not caring how he, the king, was now kneeling for a servant in front of his citizens who never saw him kneel for anyone before. “Please, Merlin, I beg you, I plead of you— just give me five minutes then sentence me to hell afterwards for all I care.”

    Summary

Arthur Pendragon had hoped to receive his Hogwarts letter after his sister, Morgana had gotten hers at eleven, so when Arthur's birthday came and went, and nothing came, he couldn't help but be disappointed in knowing that the closest he would get to magic was reading some of his sisters books she received from school.
Until Merlin came crashing into his life, and he found a new friend with magic. Except, this magic wasn't the same as his sisters. Merlin's eyes turned gold, and he needed no wand; not to mention the magic seemed to have connected itself onto Arthur for some reason. Merlin never got his letter either, so clearly something wasn't right.
As Merlin tries to learn magic by his own means, the two of them find out that there are people in the world who would like nothing more than to harness Merlin's strange magic for themselves.

    Summary

After losing Arthur, Merlin is caught up in an endless cycle of guilt, grief, and sadness. No longer Arthur’s protector, he's adrift with no sense of purpose or belonging. Was he just the magic born to serve his king? Was he Emrys, the greatest sorcerer to ever walk the earth? Was he truly the Last of the Dragonlords? Merlin decides to leave Camelot and he sets out on a quest to discover who Balinor was and just what it means to be a Dragonlord. He leaves behind everyone and everything he has ever loved and sets out to find answers. The journey soon leads him to a huge piece of the puzzle, a half-brother named Drake, and a new home in a village of magic users.

In Avalon, faced with a quest of his own, Arthur soon learns just how much Merlin had done for him...sacrificed for him. He realizes that no man, no matter how noble or common, can know his destiny and that the people who walked beside him were there for a purpose...to guide, protect and love. No man stands alone in the fight for what is good and right, and the one man he had taken for granted and treated so horribly was the other half of his soul. He would give anything for the chance to tell Merlin just what he means to him.

    Summary

“You heard me Merlin, leave,” Arthur tells him and Merlin knows he’s trying to sound authoritative but his voice comes out shaky.

"I thought we were friends," Merlin mutters, hoping to prod at whatever part of Arthur that knows him and trusts him that is left.

"So did I," the king responds and Merlin knows there is no point.

    or...

Arthur survives his wound after the battle of Camlann but banishes Merlin for his sorcery. Merlin believes he will never return to Camelot again and Arthur believes he will never forgive Merlin. They would be quite wrong about that.

    Summary

Everyone in Albion had heard the legends that sorcerers' golden tears could cure anything. Others would claim that the tears made weapons more powerful than anything mortal men could create and made one invincible for a time.

It was only natural for all the Kings of Albion to want their own sorcerers so they could strengthen their armies.
