He speaks Russian and French and English (and a little Norwegian, there’s a rookie on the team and he doesn’t speak much English so…). He likes to do origami to calm his nerves. He talks to dogs like they’re people. He mumbles to himself as he skates back and forth in the crease to create the perfect divots and thanks the goalposts when they make a good save. He listens to whale noises when he works out. And he’s not someone who can just sleep with someone with no strings attached.
So it takes a lot for Maks to have this encounter with the woman in the pie shop.
