Summary
This is the full series of the unfinished fic that I started and ended up not liking called, Icarus Always Falls, hence the title. Anyone who came here from the old fic, thank you so much. I appreciate all of you who enjoy reading my writing.
This series will have three main parts plus short stories.
The first part will be about Steve and Bucky's childhood and teen years up to about when the war starts.
The second part will be when Bucky gets drafted, Steve gets the serum and throughout the war and when Bucky becomes the Winter Soldier and up until modern day.
The third part will be when Steve wakes up and the events of the Battle of Manhatten, CA:WS and Civil War and everything beyond.

“…I’ve never made one,” Viktor said aloud then, almost as an afterthought.
Jayce blinked. He looked up fully, caught off guard. “What?”
“I’ve never made one,” Viktor repeated. “A fort,” he clarified a second later. “Blanket or otherwise.”
“There were…other priorities.” Viktor’s gaze wandered around the dim, lifeless interior of the lab as he continued. “We didn’t have many blankets to spare. And then I grew up. Too quickly, maybe.” Viktor turned to Jayce fully then, and for the first time since he’d spoken, met his eyes. “I always thought it was a lovely idea, though.” His voice dropped, quiet but sure as he held his gaze. “You could make one now, if you wanted.”

When a winter storm blows through Piltover, the founders of Hextech are stuck in their lab, unable to focus on work. One aches from the cold, the other trying to keep the chill at bay. A much needed break turns into a soft conversation, and the conversation finds itself wandering through what should have been simpler times in a heartless world. But at least, for once, the world can't find them here. Just for today.
