Ouroboros is a town where the hills whisper sins and trees snatch up kids. It takes a certain kind of grit to brave the heat waves and the shadows that haunt every crossroads. It wasn’t even a particularly creepy skeleton; it was in kind of a “just chillin’” pose on the floor. One ankle was still locked up in a heavy iron cuff, at the end of a short chain leading back to the wall. Snoresville, as dead stuff goes; Dean’s seen worse at Disneyland.
It was the skeleton’s comment about Dean’s ass that really livened things up.

And is his relationship with Cas really beyond saving?
The residents of the bunker, meanwhile, wake up as employees of HunterCorp, whose CEO is one John Winchester. Being around people Dean lost years ago is no picnic, and it’s changing the dynamic of his relationship with Cas in ways he never expected. Summary
In 2014, Dean Winchester led a raid on the asylum in Detroit where a Sam-wearing-Lucifer was waiting for him. Everyone knows what happened next: the Chitaquan soldiers who accompanied Dean died horribly at the hands of Lucifer’s minions while Lucifer murdered Dean in the garden below and warned the Dean from days past that no matter what he tried, he would always end up there. There were no survivors.
Or were there? This story picks up where “The End” leaves off, from Castiel’s perspective from inside the asylum, a twist of fate, and conditional divine intervention no one saw coming. It details what happens after Lucifer dies, Dean lives, and the world doesn’t actually stop turning. A canon-compliant “fix-it” fic for the Endverse and a Dean and Cas who deserved better.
Or: "The End" was not the End. This is the story of what came after.

Summary
Dean and Cas drive to Vermont to investigate a case involving a djinn. Unfortunately, when they get where the djinn hides, they get separated and the djinn finds Dean and puts him to sleep.
When Dean wakes up, he finds that his dream consists of living in a nice house in the woods with Cas, who he is happily married to. Dean knows he has to leave the dream as soon as possible, but he is secretly in love with Cas and the dream is offering him everything his heart wants.
Dean decides to remain in the dream for a day and then leave, just so he can know what it feels like to be with Cas for a little while. He only hopes that Cas doesn’t end up getting in his dream to save him, because that would definitely ruin their friendship.

Dean Winchester’s life used to be perfect. He spent his days hunting the supernatural beasts of the world with his brother, Sam, and his boyfriend, Cas Novak. Then his brother quit hunting to set up the Men of Letters bunker and Cas decided that he had better things to do, and Dean’s perfect life shattered.
Two years later, Dean moves from hunt to hunt and tries not to remember everything he’s lost. It’s not a great existence, but he’s managing. At least, that’s what he thinks. Then he takes a job at a resort in South Carolina, where he sees a familiar face. Forced to fake a relationship with Cas in order to work the case, Dean has to battle his own emotions as well as suspicious employees, and a growing threat from within the resort. Something evil is there, and it might not wait until Dean and Cas figure out their feelings for each other before it acts.
