(Aka the fic in which they are both immortal, they do not realize this, and they break up and think the other is dead for several centuries before it turns out that wait, they're both very much alive after all and also, possibly, walnuts.)

A demon and an angel dance on the head of semantic pins and metaphysical merry go-rounds. There is a LOT of blahblahblahblah. I hope some small tidbits of humor. Not a lot of action - of any kind. Longer than what I have written before. Could be in chapters but I always mess that up.

Summary
Since the end of Season 2, a fairly widespread notion is that Aziraphale deeply wronged and hurt Crowley because could not accept him/love him for who and what he was. Seems to cause a lot of anti-Aziraphale-ism among the fandom. But even if so, that is very much a 2 way street. This little quick read is a look from the other end of that street. And of course, if the Ineffable Idiots had talked this through they could have saved themselves and us a whole lotta angst. But what fun would that be?
Is this where I say that these idiots aren't my property or creation....that they are and belong to Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman....no copywrite infringement intended.

Four years after Aziraphale became Supreme Archangel, he returns to Earth for good. The end of the world has been averted, and if humanity knew, they’d be kissing the ground Aziraphale walked on for preventing it.
But how exactly he stopped the Rapture, Aziraphale does not remember. Whatever they did to him up there leaves a coldness in his soul where memory should be. What he does remember is Crowley four years ago, leaving him in the bookshop, leaving him to face Heaven alone.
Now that he’s saved the world and returned, Aziraphale finds Crowley right where the Demon left him. And he is not as quick to forgive as he used to be.

It occurred to the angel that Crowley had never been unkind. He hadn't yelled, hadn't insulted him, hadn't made any attempt to give him back even a portion of the hurt he had suffered. He could. He would be well within his rights to. And Aziraphale would have no other choice but to sit there and take it and try to apologise and try to fix it and try to get his best friend back.
But Crowley hadn't. He had been careful not to.
Somehow, it hurt even more.
Aziraphale needs Crowley's help with raising the reincarnation of Jesus. Problem is, Crowley won't even look at him.
