Shane hums and turns his head back away from him as he slowly tucks his thumbs under the elastic of his briefs and pushes them down until they fall around his ankles. He tries not to, but he does ultimately fold them and add them to the rest of his discarded clothes after he steps out of them.
He barely has time to turn around before large hands grip his waist and pull him onto the bed. He's under Ilya again within a second. Ilya's face, this time, is red—despite Russians never blushing—and the look in his eyes is nothing short of possessive. "That is real?" He asks. His voice rumbles in his chest, and Shane can feel it from here.
"Yes. I got it for you," Shane answers, pleased with the reaction he's gotten out of his boyfriend. "Do you like it?"

“Yeah.”
Ilya nods. “I can house-sit while you are away. Make place pretty, if you have decorations. Make it less boring.”
Shane’s eyebrows fly up. “What? You don’t want to come with?”
Finally, Ilya looks up at him. Hesitantly, he asks, “You want me to come with?”
Frowning, Shane says, “I– yeah. Yeah, of course. You think I invited you here just so you could spend Christmas alone?”
Looking away, Ilya shrugs. “I am intruder here, Hollander. You have family. I do not. Makes situation… difficult, maybe. You forget the world thinks we are rivals.”
“Not difficult,” Shane says immediately. “You want to come, you’re coming.”

The asset's orders at the end of The Winter Soldier weren't to kill Captain America, but to capture him, so that he could be wiped and turned into another asset. The asset has succeeded in that mission, capturing its target and taking him back to the Hydra base. But the Hydra soldiers are dead, captured, or fled, so there is no one there to give the asset new orders.
Alone with its captive, the asset has no instructions on how it is meant to act. But the more time it spends with its target, the more old protocols start to assert themselves, like the protocol that when that face is hurt and bleeding, the asset is supposed to clean away the blood.
