The king exiled him, away from the grassy lands and into the glacial expanse of the Arctic.
How the god spent those years, no one knows. Some wonder if he returned to the heavens, deciding to fulfil his duties rather than waste away alone in the middle of an ice desert.
But the god never left.
And, after three millennials, that fact was revealed by none other than a lonely traveller.

“But you hate music.” He returned, tucking a stray hair behind his ear as the creature shook his head, looking around the room before leaning on the windowsill, not taking his eyes from the instrument still in Techno’s hands.
“Everyone on my planet but me and a few others,” he explained, and this only convinced Techno more it was a dream, but sadly one that was difficult to wake up from. “Play something.”

Wilbur liked flowers.
Tommy knew this. Hell, he knew it better than anyone, purely because he was the meaning behind the flowers.
The last one was a white chrysanthemum, gorgeous and bright and glimmering.
It also happened to be the flower Tommy placed on Wilbur’s casket as it passed him down the aisle.

The song gets louder, and Alastor is still sitting up, staring at him with wide eyes, smile small and dumbfounded. Lucifer catches a few words, louder than the static, and Alastor must notice, because he's glaring at the air, as if that'll make it stop, because the song, without a doubt, is a sappy, longing, love song.
"Turn it up, Al." Lucifer laughs out, and Alastor turns fully red at that, especially when the song does exactly that.

“I have heard much of you, emperor Philza, and I have respect for you. Therefore, I’ll offer you a deal. You will surrender. You will kneel before me, right here, right now, and beg for mercy. Then I’ll take you to the Nether with me, and you’ll become my prisoner, slave, and personal servant. Or-”
The Blood God raised his netherite blade, pointing the tip straight at Philza’s heart.

Philza fell to his knees without hesitation.

Philza had been prepared for a lot of things when he was taken as a war prize: the loss of his basic freedom, the heartbreak of being separated from his sons, the indignity of being reduced into the piglin king’s “pet”.
What he hadn’t been expecting was for the man behind the blood-stained mask to be soft-spoken, or good-natured, or tired from the weight of his crown.

Summary
