    Liz the Scraggy is having a terrible time.

    She’s unpopular. The family business is going under. Her only friend is Manny the wimpy Rhyhorn, and he’s too busy stressing over his Confirmation ceremony to help much. Fed up, she decides to run off and join the Explorers’ Guild in bustling Kalidea City, and she arrives just in time for everything to go to hell.

    The once-peaceful city is gripped by a new threat: the formation of an organized crime syndicate. Lies and deceit form the chains of a shadowy conspiracy, bolstered by rumors of the gang’s alleged founder, a legendary creature called a “human”.

    When local law enforcement is powerless and the Explorers’ Guild is strangely silent, it’s up to Liz and her team of rejects to face deadly criminals, defy prophecy, and save the city – maybe even the world – from suffering a terrible fate.

    She should have just slept in.
