The idea first came to Bucky as he slouched in a dark corner of some dive bar he couldn’t remember the name of. He’d immediately buried it away, blaming his grief and anger over Steve choosing a woman lost to the past and leaving him all alone in this new and fucked up future.
But as Bucky watches Sam handle the press conference over his new position with ease, he realizes the idea had only taken root in the dark places of his mind. Not only taken root but bloomed into a dark need he can’t ignore.
If Steve could have his white picket fence dream why couldn’t Bucky have it too?

I read the first two chapters and I ADORE this well-written story so far. I'm a little nervous about that "humiliation" tag, but I think I see where it's likely to go, and it should be bearable for my pathetically angst-phobic self. The characterizations are dynamic, captivating, and depict beautifully, naturally flawed individuals. Not a Mary Sue in sight. I'm reminded in the best ways of the story elements that I so loved about the Boundarylands Omegaverse book series by Callie Rhodes.
I'm following too many heartbreakingly slow-to-update WIPs right now so I'm going to Try to wait and come back to binge this when it's completed. I love it too much to risk otherwise ruining it for myself. I can't wait for this mesmerizing page-turner to be completed!

I ADORE this story. It is quite possibly the best of the MCU Basement Wife trope; certainly it's in the Top 5. I'm waiting till it's finished to binge read the whole thing again. I believe I have read Chapters 1–8, thus far. I'm certain I haven't yet read Chapters 9–onwards. I'm grateful that the author is so prolific, posting frequent updates, because otherwise the suspense would cause me to Lose My Freaking Mind while I await the story's completion.

I love this sweet story. But I'm recommending it because this is the best — if not the only — example of GETTING THE WEASLEY TWINS' SPEAKING STYLE RIGHT.
I should add more caps. This is huge. I hate the fandom's habitual, absurd, utter butchering of any Fred-&-George dialogue. There was no mind-reading twin-speak. Ever. They interjected qualifiers and descriptives into one another's sentences. There's a difference. This story nails it.
