Hey so this is my first fic pls dont kill me if its bad. I've been writing this for the whole summer and my bestie (HI BTWW) urged me to post this so here we go.Quick summary Gabriel finds his way to Lust as a form of seeking some shelter after committing mass genocide (council sucks ASS in this btw) and he ends up being found by Minos after he was released. This is to be updated (Maybe if i have enough confidence) But yea enjoy the first chapter for rn :))
I do plan to update this every 1-2 weeks. 2 weeks only if i forget my password or i forget that i have an ao3 acc now.update: chapters will be released less now that they've caught up to me. It'll take me time to continue the story but dw ill try to keep going. I'm planning on bringing in parts of Gabriels extensive lore with sisyphus and v1 and resolve his emotional guilt with some help from Minos. So they'll be brought up soon :))

Summary
Mirage texts them a photo of the address. It’s smack in the middle of nowhere, tucked into the mountains next to the ocean. V1 whirrs out a sigh and texts back. “Fine. Fine. I’ll check it out soon. Give me until after class.”
Mirage replies with a horribly compressed image of her with a thumbs up emoji. “Tyyy. I think you’ll like it >:)”
“That’s so reassuring!” V1 texts back. They turn their phone over before she can reply. It’s about an hour drive. Hopefully they still have signal by the time they get there in case some mountain demon comes for them.

Be patient, God damn it. V1 was trying, but their traitorous digit did not move, frozen in air.
Processing ...0.62 seconds. Detecting software instability. V1 worked to locate the faulty code. Attempting automatic code repair... failed. Initiating code isolation...successful. Isolated faulty code on Disc 12, loci 2, Neuronal Pathway Emulator impacted. Initiating automatic code repair on the next system reset.
Mankind is dead. Blood is fuel. Hell is full. Oh, fuck it, Gabriel is beautiful.
Gabriel and V1, starting from the end.
When Gabriel reads between the lines, V1 is indistinguishable from his own being: intertwined, like stanzas composing a great masterpiece of a poem.
A child of God and a child of man make peace with the scorched Earth below their feet.

Summary
Optimization is V1’s specialty. From projectile punching to explosion-propelled feats of acceleration, V1 was made to make itself better: faster. To achieve maximum performance, it opts to optimize its energy usage. A more efficient source of biofuel may exist—but V1 needs a means to extract it. A particular peripheral used by Mindflayers seems promising.
V1 intends to test it on Gabriel. There must be something better than blood.

This doesn't make sense. It is a war machine, designed with one thing in mind. Despite its creator's damnation, it kept its instinct to fight. To kill. To take. It was its way of survival, as well as expression. It is molded to commit violence and perpetuate it. It has always been that — that was its identity. Its very nature.
So why did it dislike the possibility of Gabriel dying?

Gabriel is about to die. He doesn't have the energy to teleport away, and the machine is making its way towards shooting him for a final blow. In his desperation and what honestly, he didn't think he would work, he convinces V1 that he is actually one of its administrators. Antics ensue as the duo make their way through hell.
