Summary
A week ago, Dean was pulled out of Hell. Now, he’s apparently woken up in 2018, and the angel that a mere twenty-four hours beforehand had threatened to chuck him back into the pit is sleepily pouring himself coffee and wearing Dean’s second-favourite Zeppelin shirt. It all seems like a perfect happy ending, but with Hell’s scars still so fresh, Dean can’t imagine how he could have possibly gotten there.
At the same time, the Dean who went to sleep in the bunker, right next to Cas, wakes up on Bobby’s couch in 2008. He’s instantly bombarded with questions by a Lilith-obsessed brother and a man who’s been dead for years, and must decide between keeping his finally-perfect life intact, and the lives he could save by re-writing history.
Regardless of these choices, both Deans are trapped in the wrong decade, and their only way back lies with a Castiel still very much under Heaven’s thumb – one who might find the future Dean describes difficult to believe.

Dean Winchester is a ghost.
He doesn't like to think about how he became a ghost (in fact, he can't really remember it beyond blood-soaked flashes of horror) but he has his friends to keep his mind off of things. Too bad that all his friends are ghosts, but they live in relative peace in an abandoned mansion in Maine. But their hard-won peace comes to an end when their house is sold and Castiel Novak, along with his niece Claire, move in.
Dean tries to navigate his attraction to Castiel--attraction made all the worse because he can't even touch Castiel. But further investigation reveals that Castiel is hiding secrets--dangerous secrets. He and Claire are hunted, and danger constantly presses in around them from all sides. Summary
When Lucifer stabbed Cas the day Jack was born, Dean's hail-mary to save his best friend had unintended consequences. The aftereffects leave Dean reeling as he realizes the life he knew was over. Being forced to slowly rebuild on an unexpected path and trying to be a normal human with a fallen angel and the newborn he didn't want has been rough but it may just be the very thing he was looking for.
Sam thought he knew what was happening in Dean’s life pretty well. They talk regularly but when he visits the house that Dean, Cas, and now toddler Jack have been living in for over two years, Sam wonders if things are what he thought during his week long vacation with Eileen.
