Summary
When Vox’s doomsday weapon misfires, Shok.wav throws himself into the angelic beam to shield Valentino and Velvette. The damage is irrepairable, and the drone dies with the Media Overlord by his side. His attempts to save him are futile.
Suddenly, everything is so easy to blame on the other two Vees. If it wasn't for them, his pet would be alive and well. Vox tears his family apart with his own claws in blind rage, only snapping back to reality when the city’s billboards light up with memories of what he just destroyed.
Two months later, a broken, glitching shell of a former Overlord is found motionless in an alleway, eroding in the rain. Charlie refuses to let Vox rot away. Alastor is much less pleased. Yes this is a RadioStatic fic

I want this dumbass to suffer more cuz I feel like he got off easy. So here you go, my weird ass AU/rewrite. Before the finale came out I was worried that in order to make Vox truly realize how much he's lost, both Velvette and Valentino would need to end up dead in the final battle. The one thing that can't be replaced- people. And now Vox's pet died protecting his friends from himself, and then those very same people end up getting killed in a fit of rage.

Alastor glimmered at the thought, it’s a shame Vincent would never reach his full potential. His wide, baby belle eyes still held a sheen of love in them. Vincent’s pride wouldn’t allow him to stop at power, to become God.
He’d want his wretched soul to be graced with the softness of love, and that would be his downfall.

"Fuck you.“ Vox’s eye twitched.
Vox looked more relaxed, his shoulders slumped, not looking like several needles had run through his body anymore. All the sounds coming from his head slowly stopped, and his hands were nowhere near the flask and whiskey.
He was hesitant. He wasn’t completely sane, but he wasn’t crazy either.
With great difficulty, he raised his head higher, now seeing Vox more clearly.
"You know," he said, lowering his voice so as not to hurt Vox’s non-existent ears. "It is... almost admirable to see you standing even without one leg. Despite how injured you are, you still didn’t drop dead!"

A wave of nausea filled him. So once he was safe he took and broke off his shirt, trying to press in the wound as hard as he could. It felt cold in the dark now.
He walked a lot. Had to vomit too. It was insufferable. A few kilometers until the river, and from there he could use a bus on the road. Also clean himself and dispose of the evidence. It wasn't the first time he would do that, just the first he'd done this without any reward. That pissed him off, as he washed his face and submerged the shirt in the watercourse, then again on his ear. He had lost the corpse. What if they found it?
He'd be so fucked.

“Why are you here, Vox?” He looked confused for a second, before he straightened himself up and looked straight into her eyes. That look–so full of pain and fervor–pierced her very soul.
“I don’t remember much of who I am or why I’m here but… redemption. I- I want to be redeemed. More than anything I want to be better and I don’t know why but-” He paused for a moment, looking down as if trying to recall something. “I felt something drawing me here and I just can’t resist it. Please. Let me stay. Help me reach redemption.”

Instead of the weapon explosion being stopped, Vox is able to set it off and takes most of the entertainment district out with him. Everyone assumes that he is gone for good; he blew himself up in one last act of insanity. That is until he appears at the doors of the Hazbin Hotel with no idea who he is and only wanting one thing: a chance for redemption.
