Summary
It all began with a too-quiet Sunday morning, and within the week evolved into a hair-raising chase from Cumbria back to Surrey.
Harry Potter certainly never bargained for a relocation at the tender age of eight, nor to find himself under the custodianship of a curmudgeonly twenty-eight-year-old rock aficionado named Severus Snape.
Less parent than partner in crime, Snape at times seems as likely to tacitly encourage Harry's mischief as he is to take him to task over it. Perhaps, at that, a father-figure isn't in the cards...
Perhaps, just perhaps, Harry would be better served by a different sort of role model entirely.

Maybe the drugs are affecting Akira more than he originally thought. Once he started talking, it was near impossible to stop. By the end of his impromptu rant he was out of breath, panting like a dog.
Letting out the truth like that felt good. Great, even. Yet the silence that followed after was deafening. The atmosphere around him was bone-crushing. Akira closed his eyes in a piss-poor attempt to ease the pressure that engulfed him.
To Akira’s surprise, Akechi let out a low chuckle.
“How interesting… This was quite unexpected. The leader of the Phantom Thieves, grasping at straws. What was that, a last-ditch attempt to spare your life?” Akechi’s finger tightened around the trigger as a scowl formed onto his face. “Because it’s not going to work. Don’t fucking lie to me. You and I both know you love the attention from the people. You thrive off of it. You relish in it. And you owe it all to the change of hearts. So don’t give me that bullshit.”

It’s part taunt and part promise, but it’s not the means that stun Goro. It’s the ends. Kurusu wants to see him, he wants to know Goro, wholly and completely, without any pretense or artifice. No one has ever wanted that from Goro, not even his mother. There were parts of him not even she could love, the parts he’d inherited from Shido. It had been with her that he’d first learned how to hide his howling heart. But now Kurusu asks for it, he demands it from Goro, in full knowledge of who Goro is and what he has done, and Kurusu promises to reveal his own heart, so long suppressed and concealed, in return.

Akechi had the perfect plan.
He'd been trailing the Thieves through Shido's palace for hours. They were getting tired, but kept pushing on nevertheless - and only needed one more letter of recommendation to open the door to Shido. Akechi would patiently let them do the dirty work for him. He would ambush them on their way back out, to give Joker his promised rematch and take the letters for himself after proving once and for all why he was better than all of them!
At least that had been his plan before the Thieves started to lose their current battle. Against a bunch of random Shadows, and yet they were making quick work of the Thieves. It was somehow not as satisfying to watch as he had imagined.
He watched them being taken down one after the other.
This wasn't good.
The leader of the Shadows raised his weapon to finish Joker off.
God-FUCKING-dammit!
Akechi dropped off his ledge and into the fray.
