No, if Michael was a rose bush, beautiful but thorny, Alexis was a bed of red clover, passive and inviting. Overlooked by most, forgotten in favor of brighter flowers with perfume scents that looked cute in a decorative vase on the counter; a cool patch of greenery off the beaten path where he could rest his head for a while. He could comb through the patch, picking at the clover leaves in search of a good luck charm, or anything of value really, until all that was left was the bare ground and wilted flowers.
He was never good at keeping plants, they always died in his care.

Nagi opens an eye, just one, seeing Reo on the ground below him. He closes it, hoping that if he pretends to be dead Reo might go away.
“Nagi.” He calls again, voice ticking up. “C’mon.”
Reo waits for him at the bottom of the coat tower, eyes bright and skin glistening, dressed from his morning workout. Nagi tries to lean onto him but Reo is stingy today, deftly slipping out from under him when Nagi goes to relieve himself of his own weight.
“Lungs collapsed. Cells dead. Heart stopped.” Nagi complains from the floor, his feelings rather hurt.
Reo just shakes his head with a fond sigh, offering Nagi a hand up. “That’s how your body always is, my treasure.”

Kaiser couldn’t shift the blame to anything else other than pure curiosity and boredom as he shifted his computer closer, scrolling on the website as his eyes ran over the millions of copy-paste men with lithe builds and clean-shaven skin. His mouse hovered over a screen, a boy with tanned skin, glowing softly under his lights. His body was sturdier than others; Kaiser could recognize a body built from years of sport compared to simple gym bodies. Without thinking, the blonde clicked on the stream; the live stream filled up his entire screen, and he could hear the man now.
