Summary
Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak were inseparable friends growing up in the too-small town of Heaven Falls, New York. But that all comes apart when, on the verge of leaving for college, Castiel tells Dean that he's in love with him. Dean doesn't say those three words back, so Castiel leaves, and builds a life as an attorney in Manhattan, where he convinces himself he has all the success and happiness he ever wanted.
Decades later, Castiel's brother dies in a tragic accident, and Castiel finds himself returning to Heaven Falls, and to everything he thought he'd left behind. A chance meeting in a bar leads to Dean making a confession to Castiel - he had always felt the same way, but was just too scared to say it. Summary
Dean wakes up one day to find himself living a happy, apple-pie life with Cas, with no clue of how he got there, and no idea how to get back to his own reality. Just when he finally accepts that he might be stuck there, and that maybe being stuck doing life with Cas is what he might actually want, Dean is dragged back to real life only to discover it was all just a djinn-induced dream.
Having gotten a taste of what life with Cas could really be like, Dean can't cope with their 'just friends' status anymore, but he doesn't know how to approach Cas about it, especially since the former-angel has been unusually standoffish and reserved these last few months.

Summary
Dean was insane.
That was the complete, genuine truth - or, at least, that was what Dean was convincing himself as he sat at his desk, making the finishing touches to his story for Professor Novak’s class. His…somewhat indecent story, his mind supplied helpfully.
To be fair, Dean was not entirely at fault this time.
A certain constant-sex-messed-raven-haired, jacked, angel-blue-eyed English Literature Professor had given his students an intentionally open-ended task, giving the class a chance to produce unique stories they were genuinely interested in writing.
Dean was sure a middle-aged English Literature college professor had read his fair share of erotica. Due to the task being open-to-your-own-interpretation, he could not be marked down for his chosen topic. Right?Basically, a multi-chapter fic about Dean submitting a piece of smut to Professor Novak, except one chapter is just 10,000 words of said smut.

His husband of two years is curled around him like a clingy koala, blankets piled high above their entwined forms. Dean isn’t nearly awake yet, and he squeezes his eyes further shut, revelling in the eternally soft, comfortable glow of being held by the love of his life.
His peace is shortly disturbed, however, by the sensation returning again, more insistent this time. Two fingers brush against his spine, barely noticeable through the languor overcoming him. Being a homeless kitten sucks. I was cold, hungry, and barely hanging on. But then Tuna showed up—low, growly voice, warm hands, and absolutely no clue what he was doing. I knew right away I’d hit the jackpot. Now, I’ve got a cozy home, endless food, and a human who thinks he’s in charge (adorable, really). Training him has been my greatest challenge, but I’ve done a fine job.
Everything was perfect… until he brought in Salmon. I like this one—deep, steady voice, nice safe smell, excellent chin-scratching technique, and he actually listens to me when I meow. The problem? They were never with me at the same time but seemed to always wish they were.
Seriously, how long are these two going to dance around their feelings? I may be a cat, but even I know what’s going on. If these humans don’t claim each other soon, I just might have to take matters into my own paws.
